PNW stickers

I finally got a Price for window stickers. They will be in the Probe font in one inch letters, which makes the sticker about 12 inches across. These would be good for the rear window. I priced them in white vinyl, one because my car is white and I am doing the work. Two, I am not asking for any money and I know everyone in this club is broke except me(well, maybe). And three, I thought white might be easier to read than gray.
If people want their own color, let me know and I will order it only if you pay me for it. If I buy 20 stickers, my cost is $2.60ea plus probably 20 bucks for comp work. If I buy 50 stickers, my cost is $2.00ea plus 20 bucks comp.
So here is my thought. All the shop is going to do is cut out stickers from colored vinyl sheets. We should be albe to get any colors we want for our individual tastes. So everyone reply with what you want in terms of color and quantity and I will see what I can afford, which probably is only 20 stickers, or 80 or so bucks. But I realize we might have more than 20 cars to put stickers on, and I don't want to play favorites. To make this easy, can everyone chip in $2.75 or so? If we get 50 or more requests, we can reduce the cost down to about $2.00, but only if you all send me or give me money when I see you next. Feel free to reply with any thoughts, comments, questions. BTW - here is the basic idea. This design with all the white and gray in white vinyl - and you can always remove the vinyl rules if you don't like them.

Josh - I'm perfectly willing to give you $3 or so for the sticker. Thanks for getting this together. If you have a Pay Pal account I could give you the money in about 5 minutes. They do charge like a 5% fee or something, but that would only be a few cents with an amount this small, so I'm sure we could all throw in enough extra to cover it. Thanks again.

So, I have 6 stickers sold now. Let me see if I can get multiple colors. I am sure I can. To clarify what I am saying, I am only going to pay for 20 of these my self if it comes to that. The reason is that if I get 50 orders on the board and no money, I am out 120 bucks. That is more that the 80 bucks for 20. So we'll see how many people want, and then I'll decide if I need people to pay me or not.

I will call about multi colored stickers tomorrow morining.
So that's 8 white stickers including mine, 1 red, 1 yellow and 2 silver. For those who didn't specify colors, I counted you for white ones. That's 12 total for those that can't count. I think Darin will want a silver one and he gets one for obvious reasons, and Chris gets one automatically since he is the President. So we have 14 now.
Another thing we might want to consider is trying to design a business card we can leave on other cars to recruit people. I can probably print out 500 or so for 40 bucks using the logo I have for the stickers. To do this, I am going to have to ask for some sort of compensation however. This is where a small membership fee might be useful. But since we don't have that, I'll just have to be creative.
One more thing. We need to let people know about this. Many don't check the board frequently, so maybe someone could send out an e-mail to a few of the more active members who show at meetings and get their reply of what they want. I'm thinking I'll place all orders I have by Thursday or Friday, so any after that will be S.O.L. I can probably do it late tomorrow night using Billy's roster, but I'll have to do it at work because my computer doesn't support that edition of excell. So if someone could do it before then, it would save me a trip to the office. But if not, I am more than willing.

We can send donations for the stickers/business cards to my home address. Rather than post it on a public thread, I will e-mail it to any that ask. Or, if you come to Sparky's birthday party this weekend, you can give it to me then. Or, maybe we can hand them out at MSD and people can give $ to me then. I called to make the order today. All is well, but I need two things. First, if one of the computer educated people could manipulate the chosen sticker design into an EPS file with no black background so just the outline of the lettering shows. Second, it might be helpful if someone could send me the font that Jordan used to make that design.

Ok then, since I seem to get help so readily, I found the font. I won't even ask for help Photoshopping it into the above design w/o the damn background!! So, that is where I am at now. Am I going to get paid or something for all this work? At least maybe an honorary position?

For rear window stickers, the maximum stretch size of the sticker we have now is about 2 1/2 inches high by 30in wide. The letters will look different than they do now. So, Chris should I produce 5 of these as a test or do you want to design something else? Please get back to me as soon as possible.

Ok, I am growing tired of this. I have spent hours of my time over the last month and a half organizing, desiging and producing stickers for this so called "club." But I can't get feedback/advice on this issue that should be important to all members. I have recieved one...yes 1 thank you for doing this work, and all else I hear are complaints if I get a response at all. Well....blah blah freakin blah diddly dah! What's the point? The funny thing is, I can't even get a good response from our "leaders/moderators". Well if your leaders, then freakin lead! It is one thing to post ideas for meets/events on PT, but it is another thing to spend your personal time doing something as a favor and receive no support or response other than wise cracks and meaningless blabber.

You all are probably reading this trying to think of the funniest thing to say as a response. I guess PNW is a slave to the post count/PT status. What a bunch of bull! I am finnished spending my time on this because it gives me nothing but frustration and little respect amoung the PNW community.

First of all, I love the stickers. At least you went out and had them done while most other members of the club were still arguing over a design. Compliments? Don't you think that having the POCs of california put PNW stickers on their cars is a compliment? I myself am not good about complimenting or thanking people, and I apologize for that, but here it is... Thank you Josh. You did a great job of getting the stickers made. I really appreciate the work you put into bringing our stickers to life. With all the requests for PNW stickers, I would think the other people in the club like them. Don't worry so much about what people say, pay more attention to their actions.. unless of course they call you a dumbass or something.

My opinion for wat you should do about the larger stickers... have a few made and we'll see how it looks. If the response is any where near as good as it was for the first stickers, then I think we have a winner. :smile::tup:

I am not mad about Billy becomming a moderator. Congrats Billy! I just don't think that people understand how much work this has been. It seemed the only way to get a response was to get fired up. Then people pay attention.
The problem for me is that there is a $60 minimum charge for just 5 stickers. That's $12 a piece!! So, instead of making a few as a test, we need to design them to fit the rear window. At the same time, some people want them to fit the front window. So, this is where I need some help.

So what do want exactly? A new design made to fit the front/rear window? Something specifically designed for one or the other? Or are you looking for feedback as to what the club would rather have (front or rear window stickers)? I would like a larger sticker on the back window of my car, gotta let people know about us. I'm not too crazy about a windsield sticker, but I'm not the majority. Of course, if we put this to vote, it'll probably go over about as well as the first time we were trying to decide on a sticker design.

Rear window stickers are what I need to get a decision on. If the letters are 2 1/2 inches tall, is that good enough to read from the back of the car? They will then be 30 inches long. I'll scan the "proof" the shop gave me today, blow it up to that size and put it on the car. Maybe you can post it for me then.
Chris had mentioned making the stickers 4 inches tall by 24 inches long. We should measure the rear window and determine what is the best fit somehow.

Well, since there isn't going to be a meet anytime soon, I'll have to put this aside for right now. I am going to be busy over the next couple weeks. Anyone with ideas on how to make a readable rear window banner, please feel free to design it. Once we have a good design, it takes a day to cut the stickers. So there is no real rush.
