don't waste your $ on headers. buy NOS.

The pacesetter headers with your borla exhaust might create a sound that is not very enjoyable....You might want to think about that before ordering them.

When I get headers, I'm going to get the hotshot, despite the price. I think they're worth it, they sound much better with the borla/testpipe combo, and since I am spraying, the headers should give me some improvement.

Rafi sells hotshot headers, and he won't screw you over.

What the hell are you talking about?

Borla + Pacesetter + testpipe = great sound.
Borla + Pacesetter = great sound, just a lot more quiet.

Everyone and their brother knows that on this board.

I've heard the combo, I don't like it.

I've talked to others, they don't like it either.

Just an opinion...sorry.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:bs:

nothing against rafi, or rr-racing because I love my KVR brakes I got from him.

But I ordered my hotshot headers from rafi and it took me Months upon Months to get my headers.
And everytime I tried calling either hotshot or rafi all I got was lies and false promises!!

And on top of all that, THEY DIDNT EVEN FIT RIGHT!!!
First off when I bolted them up to the back primary they were off by more than an inch in the front. Secondly, they didnt even send me my EGR tube the first time that they sent me my headers, so I had to wait another week and a half just to get that. And guess what that didnt fit either. So i had to cut that in half and splice a flexable fittining into it.

But hey maybe you will have more luck than myself:shrug:
What ever makes you happy:tup:

I had the same prob with the HS headers fitting. Took alot of muscle work just to get them so I could put the bolts in. And they are not even. Probably why I have some exhaust leaks. I had a hard time with the egr tube as well but finally got it to fit. My headers also took forever to get as well. I think about 2 months. When I finally said F it and cancelled my order, they came.

It seems to be the pattern with Hotshot--and it's not isolated to the Probe. They just don't seem to give a **** about their customers or dealers. It took them 6 weeks just to make a stupid IM-TB elbow ferchrissakes!

I was thinking about getting the HS headers, but after this, I'm going with Brospeed.

Got my Hot Shot headers in 4 days from cork sport. I love them. If you want headers that dont look like there going to fall apart. and dont look like crap. then get the HS I think its worth the money.

I have the PS's and love them. Yes the exhaust was a little throaty but that's fixed now. When you get them go ahead and order a 2'5 flixpipe from Jcwhitney cause mine leaked the day I put them on. PS's are the best bang for your buck. I lovem. Oh yea and you'll need to know how to fix that EGR thing. Someone needs to make a how to in the Tech Section. Hmmm maybe i'll do that.

I've had PS headders on my car for over a year now. I ordered a set of painted ones from CARPARTS.com because I was short of cash at the time. Now they don't look so hot when the paint burned off, but they work like stink!!! I went to the trouble of using FEL-PRO gaskets for the block to headder connection, and have had no problems with leaking there. I had problems with the front bank of headder connection to the Y pipe leaking at the top of the connector. Two ways to fix this, 1) plane the surface of the connections so they are even, or 2) cut the damm things off and use a small section of slip fit pipe, weld it, and forgetaboutit!!
To do all over again, I would go with a set of Pacesetters that were coted, or have a high performance coating put on my painted ones!!

oh yeah... the ball joint connection on the front side of the cat-converter dosn't leak at all...

PS.. who cares what they look like... if they work!!!

That's what I did. I had them milled down smooth, welded some more(security), the ports matched exactly with the gaskets, and the flexpipe put in and now their a whole lot better than the Hotshots. I've had no problems with the felpros either. I didn't mess with the coating and it's still looks good after a year.

I juat got my Pacesetter Headers and everything was going fine with the installation untill i got to the EGR, ggggrrrrrrrrrr. The hole that the header has is to big for the EGR fitting. I dont know how to fix it, any help would be apprecated!!!

If you don't have emmissions then just plug it. As long as the vaccume is correct and the solenoid also you will not get a engine code.

FWIW, my pacesetters bolted up very easily and the EGR fit perfectly like stock. I love the sound through the pacesetter exhaust too. Very aggressive sound. I had some header leaking problems, but I took the car to a muffler shop and they found the cause was horrible gaskets. The gaskets that come with the headers are crap. The gasket blew out and the heat from the exhaust leaking out warped the flange at that spot. The shop ground the flange down a bit to make it flat and bolted it back together with a new gasket there. Much better now. Problem is they only replaced one gasket and I think it's starting to leak somewhere else now.

Yea from what I understand some did work correctly. I think pacesetter had made some type of fitting for it. I don't know. All I know is mine didn't come like that.

No you don't have to plug the hole in the manifold up. I would just go the hardware store to get some closed in fittings to screw on header part and on the EGR part. The EGR is just for emmissions. I have the ZE manifold and it doesn' have the hole for the EGR so mine isn't even functioning. When I first put it on I did get a code but it was cause I had a vaccum line wrong. As long as the computer see that it's working it doesn't have to be hooked up. Only bad part is you won't pass emmissions test if you have one in that state.

The PS's are good dispite what some people say. If you install yourself make sure you have nothing to do the next day, or you have a lift and ALL proper tools. I just installed them and all I had was ramps and a small tool-kit and it took me 13 hours to do  . That would be with any header I guess. Also make sure you do not damage the EGR tube that goes to the rear header. You will have to custom bend it to make it fit properly. Good luck man.

I did mine the same way so your not the only one. I was a bitch though. It took about 2 weeks between getting them prepared and having to work. I only had enough time to work on them like 2-3 hours a day.

I don't want to bother that stuff again so I made sure I had them fixed to last.

yeah, well i got the EGR thing fixed up now its the freggin falnges that are leaking. I had to double gasket the header flanges, its the test pipe flanges that are leaking. i am getting so tired of this sh*t. i will prolly have to wait another day to get some more gaskets. i miss my car soooo much, i have drove it in two weeks:???:

Geez. How is that? Are all the bolts tight. You did have the flanges smoothed out on the headers didn't you? If so I don't see how that happened unless the bolts are loose.

no i didnt havce the flanges smoothed out. But i have another question fer ya. when you put your headers on with the cat back did you or anyother have a high pitched sound at highter rpms, because i do. I ahte to say this but it sounds like a ricer. i guess it will go for now but i will have to fix it in the future, im just glad i got the thing running. i can notice a little in the higher rpms though.................donr FINALLY!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D

Before I changed that flexpipe it sounded like shit at WOT. That thing didn't leak much with just normal driving but when I got on it would make my exhaust sound like crap. I was especially loud when I passed by walls or or something. I have it fixed now with straight pipes and I have no leaks. It sounds good at idle and good at WOT. The only noises I hear when I hit the gas is the Intake and the air flowing through that huge as resonator.
