Can someone, anyone please help me here. I got my HS CAI and it doesn't seem to fit. The air filter is too big to fit under the car (I removed the water shield but still no luck). The intake tube seems to be oddly positioned when connected. I don't see how this thing can fit. Am I doing something wrong?? Does anyone have it on their Auto and can shed some light, possibly some pics?? I'm ready to kill myself.

You do know there's a special version of the Hotshot for the ATX, right? The downpipe curves around the radiator fan & tranny.. is this the one you have? If not then that's your problem.

Yes, I do have the one for the ATX. The intake tube curves down and around but is not positioned correctly. I spoke to hotshot and they said I have everything on right and don't know what it is. They did say that possibly the "universal" filter might be a little too big (but why did they send it then??) and that the k&n might fit. They say it was built on the car so it should be a sure fit. Maybe my car is was remanufactured in space or something????? Does anyone have it on their ATX?????

i have it on my ATX....u have to jack up the car and put it in from underneath, its tricky and a tight fit, but it fits

Thanks SilverPGT-R

I jacked up the car and removed the splashguard and it's nearly impossible for that filter to squeeze through that space. It'll fit if I remove the engine but that would be ridiculous. Do you have any pics? Everyone is saying that it's so simple yet it doesn't seem to fit my car. Did you have to do anything other than what the instructions say, anything unusual or something to make the intake system fit properly. I appreciate everyone's help. Thanks.

try this...move the filter backwards on the pipe some more so it will sit behind that black metal box thingy

i also have the ATX hotshot installed on my car. you're not using the Hotshot elbow with it are you? cause then the 2 won't fit, even though Rafi sells them together.

but before you tighten the intake onto the VAF, put the filter on to give you more play at the end of it to fit the filter on, then tighten it onto the VAF.

I cut my intake though to fit the hotshot elbow on. i believe i am the only ATXer with them both successfully installed together. i just didn't want to use the stock plastic elbow to tap my n2o line into, so i made the thing fit.

now that im gonna be putting on my ZE manifold im gonna have to go to the extremes and shave almost the whole half of the elbow for it to fit lol maybe ill just connect the downpipe to the TB.....
