Hey Rafi is there any way to get the calipers in blue with the KVR logo still on it?

Are these only for the front? If so, than how much more for the back ones?

Hi, KVR only makes them in RED. That seems to be the most popular color by far, since it is very visible. After all, if you spend that kind of money on brakes, you kinda want it to be visable:ohyeah:

Ya I mean I understand that I just want it to match the rest of my color scheme, since I will be paying that much.

Actually, you have to put the price into perspective, a similar 13" 4-piston kit from Brembo (if they made it for the PGT) would cost $1800+.

Oh I know man, I wasnt saying anything about the price. But 1300 is still a lot of money.

Rafi, I see you list these brakes for the MX-3 also. Have you fit any of you brake kits to a MX-3? Because the EC suspension is entirely different from the GE chassis cars, since it's derived from the BG chassis.

Actually, I list this kit for the PGT, mx6, 626 and Protege, not MX3 (unless i made a mistake someplace?)

Shipping is $30, flat rate anywhere in US/Canada.

I am at the moment not making the rear kit as I am having some issues getting some of the hardware, I will be working on it...

So how does this compare with your previous (still existing?) 13X1.25 front brake kit. Is it comparable?

rafi, are you still gonna stock the 13X1.25 and outlaw caliper big brake kit? i didn't see it on your site.

Rafi,

I think I remember seeing it on your site before for the Outlaw Brake kit, but didn't the 13" kit require 17" rims? Also, for clarification, the 12" big brake kit can still be used with the stock 16" rim size, right?

Thanks!

Actually, I stopped making the Outlaw 12x1.25" kit because:

(1) 1.25" thick rotors on a 13" disk are overkill and require more wheel spacing than 1.0" thick rotors.

(2) The Outlaw 4000 4 piston calipers are more of a race-only caliper and use very thick pads which require a lot of wheel backspacing to clear. This means most guys out there need wheel spacers and therefore have to spend extra money on them.

(3) The KVR Python 4 piston calipers are "sealed" meaning the pistons have seals on them to keep everyday dirt out (racing calipers are not really meant for everyday dirt/salt/sand...)

Yeah, that's correct, the 12" kit can still be used with stock 16" wheels, and the 13" kit requires 17" minimum.

Italian TAROX makes a big brake kit for the MX-3.
http://www.tarox.com/Product_Listing/Tarox_Kits/tarox_kits.html
And thats because the MX-3 uses the same brakes as the 323 GT-R that was very popular in rallye racing.
Is uses 6 pot brake calipers and has 310 mm (12.2") brake rotors.

I use their G88 performance brake rotors (standard size) on my MX-3 and they are awesome combined with Pagid brake pads. No fade whatsoever.

So does this mean that you're going to be making another rear kit? Will it still use the stock caliper or is it going to replace that as well?

I'm excited:D

Its a matter of how much demand there is. Apparently there isn't huge demands for brake upgrades on Probes, go figure, people are generally more interested in accelerating then stopping.

any chance of ever getting 4-piston calipers to go with the 12" KVR big brakes?

Well... I can make anything, but what it comes down to is I can only justify making 2 big brake kits for the Probe/Mx6 (and even that's pushing it). Just ask Greg Hagopian, this isn't a big market for brake upgrades.

well I don't really want to have put $2,000 into the front brakes of the car, now if you'd be willing to use the $600 purchase of the 12"s as a dicount on the purchase of the 13" kit, then we'd be talking. I also wouldn't need the lines seeing as I've already bought those from ya. Btw I'd like to give the 12" kit a BIG  . I'm by no means trashing that kit, it made a world of difference in my car, I'd just like to take it, as with everything, a step further. Everything you produce is Gold. for Rafi.

ok, done kissing ass, later. :)

The rotors are standard 12 bolt directional vane 13.0"x1.0thick race rotors.

The hats are custom made just for the probe/mx6/626 hub dimension (hubcentric) and offset requirements.

I say, yea for Rafi. Have you ever seen the brake upgrades for Maxima's & 300z's they are 2500.

I would love to get my hands on the 12" rotors & 4 piston calipers, but I just bought some new tires & my rim is only 15"
