Ok I pulled my EGR but not because of the fact that it is the exhaust gas itself being put in but because when you are cruising around it will make your car hot. Check the manifold temperatures with and without. End of story. It has nothing to do with WOT and when it is being let in. Yes It lets it in when its cruising and idling BUT the effects last beyond that. PCV Yes its needed I dont like the venting to the atmosphere but I do think it should be filtered unless you like lowering your octane of the gas you put it.

well the egr removal thing is dependent pretty much on the emissions control in their state. obviously it lowers combustion temps, so your coolant and oil won't get as hot as they would without egr working.

for pcv discussions, please see the 149 other pcv discussions.

we all know egr will not help performance in any way. but my intake manifold gets hot either way, so i can't see how it would change anything.
