N/A max mods

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm getting my ZE back to me here soon and i'm wondering what I can do to maximize my N/A HP...

Current list of mods;
KLZE swap
Hot Shot CAI
67mm bored TB
Pacesetter Headers
Test Pipe
Borla Catback
new Clutchmaster
Custom STS
stock flywheel though
and i have some MAD hardcore weight reduction. Everything is out except the front seats and the dash. Lighter rims, sport tires, RSTB, b-piller brace, 17mm sway bar...

Please help me, is there anything else I can do?
I know about the UDP, and fuel pumps and FPR. I'm planning on getting the HEI ignition mod as soon as i can get it set up, and prolly an MSD blaster coil. But other then that, what can I do?? I've hit the proverbial N/A wall!

Mr. Moderator who closed my last thread. I read through the whole "what to do next" thread and I have most of the mods listed EXCEPT the UDP, Fuel Pump, Lightened Flywheel, and Adjustable FPR.

If was looking for bolt on information I wouldn't have posted the list of every "bolt-on" that I have. I'm looking for some "more advanced" information, and things were going swell untill you closed it and sent me the link of the thread that I read for about 20 minutes last night...

Now I know why people hate PT so much... No real help anymore, they just yell at you to do a search, even if you already have.

Yeah while i understand your frustration posting a second time and calling out the mod is a bad idea...

Mega Squirt would be an option... port and polish... suspension to get off the line... tranny saver... begin to look at ways to make the rest of the car make best use of the power you intend to make...

Yeah, i know this will get closed... Mods here have big ego problems... I sent an e-mail to daymon so hopfully rather then just closeing they're realize that I DID search and DIDN'T find any info...

Anyhoo, a friend of mine has the mega squirt and he like it. But he also is turbo charged... What are the benefits of the megaquirt to an N/A engine?

The biggest thing I need is suspension. I still have stock shocks and springs. :(

The other thread brought up port and polishing, 3 or 5 angle valve job, higher compression rebuild, and magnesium filled valves.

Does anyone have input on these before this is shut down??

i would just figure out how crazy do you want to go...do you want it still as a daily driver? or just a track beast. that right there will tell you what you can and cant do.

Instead of magnesium filled valves, you could go titanium. Go to www.paeco.com. They make stuff for our cars, and custom parts. But the valves will run you from $4,000-$5,000. But in this world, you usually get what you pay for. They'll also do all machine work for you. IE, you can send them your engine, and they'll prep it for any time of racing that you wish. They have parts out the wazoo.

Lightening the internals is good for any time of driving. Stroking/boring is also a great option. However, I do not suggest that if you want a high revving race car... unless every little piece inside your car is titanium... then you should be fine. But I doubt anyone has the money for that.

There are also a lot of little tricks to getting more power. Banjo bolt mod, umm... some sort of fuel valve mod... I can't remember the name of the part.. it's only available in Europe though... throttle body coolant bypass, throttle position sensor mod. That's about all I can think of right now.

But yeah, even if the mods are being dicks, it doesn't help to call them out on it. Because even if everyone(non mod) on Probetalk hated all the mods, they're the ones in charge, and it won't do anything. This isn't a democracy, and not everything's fair. A lot of mods are giant gaping pussy dicks. But you just have to live with that, because they're in charge. Any way, I hope some of this helps.

People only get ego problems when people post crap like this. There are plenty of threads on how to make n/a power. The engine build thread is even stickied/archived.

The what to do next thread is great too.

You are posting an open ended question that expects someone to come in here and plan out everything for your build. That is why it gets closed. If you asked something specific you would get much better responces.

maybe people hate pt so much because even people that know what their resources there are, still make threads, then add something at the end of their thread, to provoke others to talk trash back.
you seem to have a grip on what mods are needed, so why did you ask?

if you want more advanced things, venture into the F/I forum, the NAWZ forum, or the Engine Electronics forum. i hope they aren't too advanced for you

All the other boards i go to on a daily basis dont have the problems, reputation, nor the member problems that PT has... MNPOC owns joo... (a little inside joke for people in the know... ;))

Anyway, seller, thanks for the info. That $5000 price tag is a little steep!! I'm definatly looking at a fidanza or an MX3 flywheel, but the engine was finally put together, so it's going to be a little while before it get's opened up again. it'll definatly be a track car, but i don't know yet if it'll be a "daily driver" type thing. It definatly has to be "street legal".

It was wrong of me to call out the mod, I know they just do what they can to keep the forum clean, but when i'm getting great info from 3-4 members, then the thread gets closed before it's even open for 1 day.. it's a little rediculous.

I got closed, because ANY information you got from those 3-4 memebers you could have gotten a lot quicker in a search. You're not walking on uncharted land with your max N/A topic. Many people have done huge N/A build-ups, and all their info is here on PT.C.
I really hate when people take a post closure personal. If you had a problem with me closing your last post, you should have PMed me, and I would have gladly told you why. Instead you make a new thread, and state that you know this will be closed as well. Why waste the bandwidth?

BTW, closing you posts has nothing to do with my ego. That's what post count is for;)
