Aite well, i tried this once and it didnt go too good but i gotta do it again cause i think my car is acting up bad now due to the old setup.....

I have the ebay cai. It comes with a little plastic hose that is already connected to the piping. Does that little hose go to the other little thin black hose right behind the IM? I think it does but on the stock setup this little hose connects before the MAF i think it is? and with the new one its after. Any help? Any intructions to install this? I thought it would be easy, but i dont wanna go ripping apart stuff that doesnt need to be. Please help asap. Thanks.

do you have any pics? There is no hose that connects to the VAF. there is only 1 small vaccuum line that should be needed

Well i was playin with it and that thin little hose connects to a little pipe perfectly behind the IM. So i think thats where that goes. Then there's the bigger black hose that connects to the pipes right up by the IM. And i got that all hooked up good. So now it's starting sounding good for like 1 sec, then dropping rpm's and dying. If i rev it up, it will stay started though. I dunno. Im so frustrated right now, Is there something i have to reset or something like that after i have it all done? I heard somethin about the 02 needing reset but i have no clue, any ideas? Thanks.

sounds like youve got it all connected right, that plug directly under the IM youre talking about should be connected with taht little hose like you did, all that is for is to get fresh filtered air, you do not need to have it connected, i havent for 2 years now. As for resetting anything, you shouldnt need to, if you want to reset the ECU disconnect the negative battery cable and hold the brake pedal in for 10 secs or more, that should reset it. But i doubt that would help, ive installed numerous intakes and have never had to reset that. Check the connector to the VAF, make sure it connects well, If it still idles bad you could try to set your TPS. hope that helps

No i got it all cool, My prob was the coupler was missing between the Cai and the IM. And i didnt mean actually reseting the 02's obliviously, i just meant i heard my buddy tellin me that they need to adjust themeselves or somethin, but its all cool now anyways.
