How hard is it to install an underdrive pulley? Has anyone done it yet? do you notice a difference?

other than removing the belts and breaking free the crankshaft bolt its not a hard installation, it is somewhat noticeable, you may notice the decrease in A/C and alternator performance more than vehicle performance, but overall not a bad mod... there is a good write up on here somewhere that will tell you exactly step by step how to install it, just search for "how-to udp"
good luck

Thank you! Is it easy to slide the old pulley out and put the new one in, or do you have to raise the motor and like make it come out by force?

it will take some time its got very little play in it, but if you keep pulling and wiggling it will eventually come off. Getting the crank shaft bolt off is the real challenge.

umm,no. you need a pulley remover..and the bolt is the easy part. put a breaker bar on the bolt and wedge it against the ground or the control arm..give the car a quick crank, its now untightened.

that will probably work too, just seems a little hazardous for me, but i have never tried it so i am not speaking from experience... buti did use a wrench and a hammer as a pseudo impact wrench... and i was able to wiggle mine off... different strokes for differet folks i suppose...

Depending on the UDP, you might need to remove a bit of material from the oil pump.
The procedure can be found with a Search.
