Didn't want to post this on the main board...
But here it is... How much water should be in the system? I mean if I fill the both spots and the overflow tank one day and come back the next day should I be able to add any to the system? Should it be full I guess is my question.

It should be aboot 50/50 coolant and water combo for the best cooling. As for the total amount of coolant...i think it's aboot 8 quarts that the system will hold. How full is the overflow?

Well, I don't want to stick in a 50/50 mix when I am adding every time I drive. I dont know what it is holding right now... But let's say I fill the sucker. To the top, add to both spots and the overflow tank. All completly filled. I'll drive for about 30mins and I can then add just under a whole gallon of water! I mean most of that goes directly into the system. If I then fill up the overflow I can finish of the rest of the gallon! That can't be good. But what I was kind of asking was should the system be completly full? I know it spits it out and taks from the overflow when needed, but when you've got a nastly leak that is not the case anymore..... Dang cars!

Sounds like a water pump problem. It happened to me last year.

Did you mean to type crow?
Yea, I'd say I've got a problem! I check ALL of my "hookups" for Ford and or Mazda parts. I think I'm getting dealer price now. But that's more than I wanted to spend in the first place! /forums/images/smiles/icon_mad.gif
I'm guessing the leak is too big for any sort of leak stopper.
Oh the place that used to make the things when the cars were new is no longer around so the pulley specs had to be changed that means I've got to buy a new pulley too. Yipeee

I was actually thinking about letting the sunofabich go... Letting the engine over heat and become a big waste of metal. Then beg my dad for money to buy a new engine. Not tell him that it's a more expensive Japanese version of course!

....I forsee a great oppurtunity....a J-spec motor perhaps? I think so.
If you've got the $$$...Id just wait until your engine died a horrible grinding death...and then get the ZE.
And yes, I meant to type Crow. As in Holy Crow!
