If you have Tokicos now, stick with them. Much better for lowering springs than KYB.
Blk 94 PGT, with not nearly enough stuff on it.

I had KYB's for a while the KYB's go soft after hard cornering. It also seemed like it took a day for them to recover

GR2's are a OEM replacement. But Still an upgrade over stock. But for lowering, they dont generally last. Ive blown out a few sets on my cars. For the price, they good if you plan on upgrading down the road again.

Seen quite a few sets on Ebay up to a few months ago. Decided to just ***** it and go all out with KW V3's... Will never have to look back

I was thinking of getting a set of KYBs and a set of cheap lowering springs for my Racecar, since its a pretty much stock series. I have a limited "performance value" budget for the car so I can buy some performance items, but not many. I was thinking I could get the best handling by lowering the car. Since everything I've read so far recommends against cutting the stock springs, I'm going to go with lowering springs. The problem is, I don't have enough in my performance value budget to do both lowering springs & performance shocks.

Are there better OE shocks out there that will work on lowering springs?

Kyb are lifetime warrenty at parts stores, so if they blow just get it replaced. I have a set of gen2 ones without issues yet
