  • I still gotta ride in that thing Matt...

I forgot about the date Ant but I took some with the forum's address and my screen name. Maybe that will suffice.

    • Matt, stop bragging about your DAD'S Camaro and go build your own damn car!

On a serious note, it is a nice looking car. I remember walking up on it in Greene last year thinking it was very clean/well done, but I had no idea that one was your Dad's (there were several Camaro's lined up in a row). It's done pretty much EXACTLY the way that I would've done it...

      ...

Well, except for the tranny. It's auto, IIRC...right?

Wasent really bragging. Just stating. Plus i did help a shit ton with all the body work and whatnot, so i did have a big part in it, same goes for my brother.
Yes it is auto, has the Gto tranny in it, Hes to old and ****ed up to be able to use a clutch and shifter. But really, its faster than shit without a stick.
I did have a camaro i was building but i sold it, and regret it.

          • Nah, I understand your Dad not wanting to/being able to drive stick. I just wasn't sure if I remembered correctly, though I was pretty sure it was auto. Thing was ridiculously clean when I saw it up in Greene!

Yea but the whole point of the contest is to put gauges in the car, And like 3 out of the 6 feature cars alreadys have them... so i wouldn't see the point in them being chosen. I just hope they dont pick someone that just payed to have a car done and did none of the work themselves.

Yea that would be about the only way, but for now his shoulder is to tweaked to do a big job. That and the fact the ONLY cars he has done full paint jobs on were my iroc and the avenger, Steves old cavi, and ryans eclipse.
I still wish i never sold the avenger even if it was slow and auto. Still was shaved and sexy.

                    • Yeah... I at least want him to do the quarter work on the escort meaning flare them for me haha. Just gotta flare em and repaint the quarters... I might have a front bumper for him to paint too oh and some side skirts.

                      Jeremy

P.S. I get this guy that texts me about the probe. Starts asking questions and asks if i'll take 2200. I say sure as is. Then i tell him the little quirks it has (power antenna broke, minor dings, tach jumps around and the IAC needs to be changed) and when all of that stuff is fixed it will be more around 2500-3000. He proceeds to say that "on kbb it's only worth 2100 in good condition" I reply back with "So don't buy it? Sorry i don't mean to be a jerk but i bought the car to make money on it and I've sank over 500 of my own money into it not including my time or what i bought the car for." Nothing back haha I understand the car isn't worth 3000. It isn't even worth the 2200 right now as is... But someone might want the car bad enough although I doubt it and I'm gonna end up selling it for 1500 or less.

                      • People are ALWAYS going to try to beat you down, Hiney. Just the way it goes. It's just a matter of if they're going to be the super low baller or not. Haha...I've been selling TONS of shit on CL lately, and no matter how much you put FIRM on the price, increase font size, bold it, etc, they'll ALWAYS try offering you less....

And even more unfortunately with cars, people constantly go straight to KBB or NADA to see what a car is worth, and count it as gospel. The bottom line is that something's worth whatever another party is willing to pay for it...

I'd hang onto it and see if you get a few more offers. However, it's quite possible that you're going to have to sell it for 1500 or less.

Rule of thumb is always offer 500 less for anything around 2000.
