Xbox Question. Specifically Halo

Ive had an XBOX for awhile now but never had played Halo

So tonight i decided to rent it, now when i put in the disc and fire up the XBOX it says that I need the DVD playback kit to play it. Why??? All my other games work fine, does anyone have an answer

I've been playing Halo with and without the DVD playback kit for a year now.

Are you sure you got the GAME and not the movie trailer on some demo disc or something?!?!

Try cleaning the disc.
fF it still does it the disc is messed up , take it back.
