  • MBX Dual Feed Fuel Pressure Regulator Instructions:

First locate under the hood in the main fuse box your F/P Injection fuse and remove this fuse. It will be a large block fuse. Turn ignition over a few times to releive fuel pressure in system.

For ease of installation of the MBX Dual Feed Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit, you should loosen and remove the nuts and bolts to the intake manifold so that you can lift the manifold enough to remove the passenger side banjo bolt fittings and fuel line loop.

*Note* When installing fittings, be sure to use a high teflon paste on threads. Do not use teflon tape, teflon tape can get clogged in the fittings and lines! Be sure to use supplied "O" rings in all three ports that attach to the fuel pressure regulator, not doing so will cause fuel leaks!

After removing the passenger side banjo bolts from the fuel rail and the fuel line loop, you will install the MBX Banjo replacement straight fittings into the rail. *note* you can reuse the factory copper crush washers in this process, be careful not to overtighten the banjo fittings as they can break off in the rail! Next, install a 24" braided line in the 180 degree fitting and on the opposite end install a straight swivel. Next, install a 24" braided line in the 150 degree fitting and on the opposite end install a straight swivel. On the back rail, install the 180 degree fitting with line connected and route through the intake manifold runners, on the front passenger side rail install the 150 degree fitting and line through the intake manifold runners. You will connect the blue Nitrous Y to these two lines. At the other end of the Nitrous Y you will cut a fuel feed braided line that will go to the fuel filter, using a pro-clamp to go around the braided line and slip directly onto the outlet of the fuel filter and a swivel straight fitting at the opposite end to connect the Nitrous Y.

Replace stock fuel pressure regulator on driverside front fuel rail with your new MBX fuel rail adapter.

Install 1/8" NPT/-6AN Fitting into MBX fuel rail adapter. Replace banjo bolt on the driverside fuel rail closest to firewall with MBX Banjo Bolt Replacement supplied fitting *note* you can reuse the factory copper crush washers in this process, be careful not to overtighten the banjo fittings as they can break off in the rail!

From the driver side front rail and rear rail you will determine and cut enough braided line to go from each rail to the side of the Fuel Pressure Regulator. The last remaining amount of braided stainless fuel line will go from the bottom of the Fuel Pressure Regulator and run to the return side of the fuel system to the right side below the fuel filter location. The return line is a hard fuel tubing line run underneath of the vehicle where you will use one of the compression fittings supplied to connect braided fuel line.

Use the Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator instructions to set your desired fuel pressure! Congratulations, you now have "The MBX Ultimate Dual Feed Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit"
