    Required Tools & Parts

    Valve Cover Gasket
    10mm socket, 12mm socket & wrench
    Gasket cleaner
    RTV black sealant

    Removal

    Remove the power steering pulley cover.
    Loosen the power steering pump pivot bolt.
    Remove the power steering tensioner adjustment bolt.
    Slip the belt off of the power steering pulley.
    Remove & label all spark plug wires from valve cover.
    Remove the bolts from the power steering hose bracket on top of the valve cover.
    Starting at the back passenger bolt, remove the bolts in a clockwise pattern, then the center bolts.
    Pull up on the valve cover to loosen the gasket.
    Tilt the power steering pump up, then lift the valve cover up and over the camshaft gears.


    Installation

    Peel off the gasket and spark plug grommets.
    Clean all mating surfaces.
    Apply a thin layer of RTV on the VC side of the gasket and install into VC gasket groove.
    Apply a bead of RTV sealant to the cam gear humps corners on the head.
    Press the gasket & grommets onto the valve cover.
    Apply RTV sealant to all corresponding points on the head mating surface.
    Tilt the power steering pump up, and reset the valve cover onto the head.
    Hand thread all bolts in the same order as they were removed.
    Snug up all the bolts with a socket, then torque all bolts in order.
    Reattach the power steering bracket, tensioner adjustment bolt, and belt.
    Adjust & tighten the power steering belt.
    Reattach spark plug wires.
