This is ASSuming that OP is working with a GT trim car with 4 wheel disc.

If people want to buy shiny things and spend a bunch of money on something that isn't a weak point of the car, that's fine.

I'll keep on rocking stock brakes on my car, which is making somewhere between 3-4x as much power as stock. Because they're plenty good enough.

You must have far more done to your car than i thought.

I have it on good authority that the stock brakes are capable of hauling in one of these cars from north of 150mph with a quickness.

    By "stock brakes" i mean:
    1) Centric Premium rotors
    2) Axxis Metal Masters
    3) stock calipers
    4) stainless braided lines
I guess I'm just used to how a larger brake setup feels. Like I said, if they work "fine" they're still close to their limit, and I prefer some cushion.

I'm not about spending money on shiny things either, but a set of pbr dual piston aluminum calipers and a set of mustang rotors can be had for cheap and requires nothing more than an adapter bracket to be made.

          Either a Mazda6 or a Mazdaspeed6. :p

          Would be 1st gen stuff.

I have a set around here somewhere, had them for a couple years. I'll probably throw them on if one of my calipers starts to go bad on the MX6 or something. That's if i feel like trying to find a master cylinder that works well with them.

Been running the Mazda6 stuff on my car a few years. Its more then worth it even for just basic in town driving. And gives you a ton more confidence the few times you really have to use them.

Knowing they'd stop a car twice as heavy from a great deal higher speed makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
                  Here's to "warm and fuzzy."
