  • Starter Circuit Heater Relay

In checking the starting circuit for the GT with a manual TX, it shows that when the starter is cranking, it also pulls in a relay going to the low speed heater fan. This makes no sense to me. Can anyone tell me why the starter should have anything to do with the heater fan? Thanks

Mine is set up such that when you engage the starter most of the other electrical disengages, to reduce the demand on that battery and probably to protect the electronics from potential voltage fluctuations. It's been a while since I've paid attention to it, but I believe the heater fan and the radio switch off when the starter is engaged, but for some reason the headlights stay on, if you happen to have them on.

I agree with Browncoat, but this shows the relay for the blower pulling IN when the starter is cranking. No big deal, but there's some reason for it being this way..
