Hey all, I recently bought a 97 Probe off of Craigslist, the kid we bought it from had , had a 94 good running engine be dropped in it, however, he didn't do any research on swapping the 94 to the 97. He told me that he and a buddy threw the 94 engine in and never got any further with it. I can not reach him now at all, so I have no answers to my questions, I have a manual, but, it doesn't give me any real good schematics for anything really. I really need engine pics to see what all I am missing. I don't know if I need a 94 ECU or keep the 97 ECU? I also need good schematics of the interior electrical system. And lastly ( I apologize the the length of my post. ) they had a modified header, that had about a 4 inch collector going into the stock exhaust, absolutely no way for it to match up, so, we bought a new stainless steel header and exhaust, to put on it, and to our disappointment ithe new one has to be modified to fit the muffler. Any ideas or suggestions would be so greatly appreciated.

Have you tried looking up parts by part number on here. There is a thread somewhere on here that tells which distributor is 93-94 or 95 and up. That might help. Maybe post a picture or several under the hood. Focus on things unplugged, and describe where around the bay they are.Probe out for Harambe

Also, I forgot to add in my post, that the engine in my probe is a 2.0 . 4cyl.
