  • How big of a N2O shot can a stock PGT handle?

I'm looking into getting an NX system for my Probe (wet system) and it comes with various nozzles for varying shots. IIRC the sizes are 35, 50, 75, 100, and 150. I'm obviously not going to jump right into a 150 shot on my first day, but I am wondering how big of a shot can the car handle? I've seen people say not to go over 50 on a dry system, but this is wet. So just installing the system and no upgrades to the fuel pump (which I shouldn't on a wet system) how big of a shot can I go? I read that 75-100 is max on an all stock motor.

    You read correctly.

Your limiting factors will be clutch and traction. And gearbox.

        Don't spray 5th

Source: I sprayed 5th and destroyed a transmission

Pro-tip: upgrade your fuel pump and clutch, stock PP on a beefy disc and change the flywheel to something lighter while you got it apart.

Ultra-secret pro-tip: Hide the solenoids inside the stock airbox and wrap all the wiring in OEM wire wrap material, hide the bottle in a duffel bag with scuba gear. Acquire a scuba flag front license plate. Go to the track and acquire currency.

Already planning the clutch, fuel pump will probably happen in the near future too. Duffel bag with scuba gear... That's thinking outside the box. I like it.

I did watch a video where a guy *****ed up his setup somehow and the nitrous backfired and blew his intake off. In the description he said he threw it back on there with duct tape and changed to a 35 shot.

I think I'll stick with 50 for now, hahaha. But I'll be sure to video the first startup just for you guys in case my intake decided to try and make its way through my hood.

Yeah let me just spend 20 minutes hooking up my nitrous system with the 150 shot and spray it on my launch. That's a wonderful idea...

Connecting rods and headgaskets are overrated anyway.
