I've got 2 sets of stock straight spokes 93-94 style. I just noticed how different the back of the rims are. One set is more of a flat and solid spoke, the other set the back of the spokes are scooped out. The scooped out ones look like they have areas where the balance was tweaked by the factory. Now, this makes me want to weigh them... however meaningless this may be. I just thought it would be interesting. Additionally, the scooped spoke rims had paint on the back, while the flats look like just clearcoat over aluminum.

I too noticed these rims on my newest car and the 94 I sold 2 months ago. I meant to also ask if someone knew why. The other 5 PGTs I've owned all had the rims in the second pic or the white ones but my 6th and 7th one now both had 2 of ea.
Also the rims in the first pic are not painted on the inside of my wheels or yours.Last edited by RatedPGT93; August 26, 2015, 02:47 PM.
