Quick ? about FPR and fuel flow direction!

Hey all, I just got my shiney new chrome plated adjustable FPR w/gauge and I'm confused after getting told by a few people which way the fuel actually flow through the rail.

The red fitting on the FPR is for the incoming fuel, the blue one on the bottom is the "drain" fitting, where it exits. If I take off the stock FPR, is the fuel going through there coming out? Like would I hook the "incoming" fitting right there to where the stock FPR used to be, or is that where the "drain, or exit" blue fitting would connect to?

Thanks

The fuel in the rail would exit into the inlet of your FPR and drain out into the return line which is the rubber hose you see attached to your stock FPR.

Alright the fitting didn't work. How do I "piggy back" the stock FPR??

Take the output of the stock FPR and run it to a short length of high pressure injection hose to the input of your adjustable one, then run the output of the adjustable back to the fuel return line:

RAIL#2 -> OE FPR -> hose -> NEW FPR (INLET) -> NEW FPR (OUTLET) -> hose -> OE FUEL RETURN LINE

This is how I had mine configured originally.. It gave me less trouble in keeping the lines pressurized after shutdown, but I couldn't find fuel injection hose rated for highenough pressure to keep from blowing, so that's when I rearranged everything and upgraded the lines to steel braided.

And I just run a T to split the vacuum line to the stock and aftermarket FPR? How do I know where to adjust the screw to on the aftermarket one to start off with, then adjust it? Take the vacuum line on and off of it? Because if I take it off the fpr, it'll make it run to its max setting that I have it at, right?

Talking

I didn’t even end up using any extra fuel line. If you have the right 90 degree elbows and line things up properly you should be able to just cut a little section out of the existing return line (about half way between the OEM FPR and the hard return line) and clamp the new FPR right on. It’s as easy as that and makes for a pretty trick setup.
Yes just use a tee fitting on the vacuum line.
When you set your fuel pressure just disconnect the vacuum lines and adjust the set screw until the pressure is what you want at WOT.

OR leave the vacccum on and adjust it to the setting for idle. Then take the vaccum off and you'll see where it's at on WOT. That's what I did. Samething just the opposite of what Brice said.
