Wish there would have been more to the video, but it got the point across.

I'm waiting to see the vids of the TT-Z06's beating those! They can already beat them stock to stock, so who knows what they're really capable of!

Yeah it can. A brand new Z06 can beat a stock GT...straightline that is. Now cornering, GT owns that department all day long.

because those cars can handle it and they are closer to 150k stock. Just because a car is expensive does not mean that you are just to put around town in it. I mean it is ment to perform. Thats like if you have a fast racing horse saying oh he is expensive so we arent going to race him just take nice trot around the property. Hell if i had one of those i would drive it every day. It is still a car its not like they are driving around the mona lisa or something.

dude they cannot beat a gt...im sorry i know...it has a 5.4 liter with a twin screw on it......and friggin zo6 is not faster...i sell these parts all day every day without fail i see the car every single day it is in my showroom....i come closer to this car putting floor mats away than most people will in a lifetime....

and taking it to a track and racing is awesome.....but the reason it shouldnt be driven every day is because there is not an insurance company that will cover it and thats why its in the showroom....

But no, a stock Z06 will NEVER beat a stock ford GT, unless of corse some dumbass launches in 5th gear.

from what i hear the z06 is faster in the quarter...

faster than the viper and GT, but track racing it was down a second or so...

and nice attempt to brag about how you get to touch the cars all day at work... thats awesome, have you taken one out yet? have you even been in one with someone else driving? be honest...

and just b/c the GT has this and that over a zo6 doesnt mean its "faster"

dont get me wrong id take a GT over a vip and vette all day long...

but many reputable magz have done the reviews for these cars and have taken them to the limits stock for stock... cant argue with that

anyway that vid was sick...

You can say what you want the truth is that it is faster...it was meant to beat it thats the point....its got a 5.4 dual overhead cam with a friggin twin screw supercharger.....and as we all know just because someon from a magazine drove both doesnt mean they know about those cars....as witnessed by the probe gt's 15.7 quarter by asshats from some magazines....

From what I saw in a Motortrend. The 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc times on a C6 Z06 vs a Ford GT were extremely close. Keep in mind though that the Z06 is 1/2 the price. Imagine what you could do with a Z06 and another $70,000. These cars are $150,000 plus at least another $50,000.

Stupid money though. So they are on streetfire with their gold bracelets and all the ricers oogle over them. Grats.

true but....steeda came out with a new kit for the gt that can enable you to change pulleys at will.....with just a 300 dollar pulley change you are talking about 675 whp........

dont get me wrong i know its expensive but these cars are collectors items...my boss's bought theirs last year....and now the sticker prices of them have gone up to like 220,000 dollars....

The cars in the video are not collectors items. They are going to be rode hard and put up wet. Sad but those two cars will most likely be scrapped. Even more sad is the fact that the GTs won't be utilized for racing. I think there was one company I had to search my ass off for that was going to be racing them professionally. I really wish Ford would factory sponsor the GT to go against the vette C6Rs, but they won't. Too bad that the Ferarri killing GT40 does not live on and crush the vettes too. Instead they are going to be locked away by old codgers as "investments".

Those people test cars for a living. Unlike you, who puts the floormats in said cars. They know what they are doing, no matter what you may think.



Almost all the articles I have read show the Z06 to be faster in the 1/4, however slight the margin may be. In the end though, it loses in the handling department to the GT.

Personally, I'd rather have the GT. I don't like "crackerjack" interiors like the Z06 has, and the Viper interior left me dazed and confused.

As much as I have heard, the Z06 is faster than the GT. But thats just what I've heard, which may or may not be true. In the end Ill take a GT over any Z06. The GT is my favorite car period.

you know i absolutely love how your morons come on and talk massive crap calling me a bench racer blahblablah......ive been on this forum for a long time i have experience with said car.....I know the specs of said car.....and the fact that you are saying one is better than the other because one doesnt need forced induction is idiotic at best.....supras need a turbo big deal the fact remains that they are fast.....my point is that you have a big top of the line 5.4 NON PUSH ROD dual overhead cam 4 valve engine with a supercharger that displaces almost as much as my v6.....and it was underated from the factory.....and the fact that you said in most articles you read...guess what you proved my point....if it was beyond a shadow of a doubt all magazines would have it listed as being slower....The gt is rated at 550 hp on 91 octane....where as the new zo6 is rated at 500 hp..... so i dont understand what you guys arent getting here,

I have driven the C6 Z06, and was not impressed by it. The cheap interior, with rattles already starting in the panels at only under 1k miles. And powerwise, it didn't feel all that great. May be the torque band or something, but the Porsche GT3 I drove felt MUCH faster then the Z06.
