Thumbs up

Do you ever have any Lotus or BMW owners come up to you after you get off the track and ask you why your mx6 is so much faster than their car?

Awesome vid as always.

I like the fact that you passed everything on the track, race breed cars, but none passed you! Love the sound of your exhaust also. Are you running headers or stock exhaust manifolds? Great driving!

Your car is pulling much better out of the corners now over how it was bogging down a few months ago. What all have you been changing?

The slicks I bought were absolutely rubbish.. That's what I get for buying cheap slicks.. Car was nearly undriveable.. Spun many times.. Here a clip of one spin... Switched back to Kumho trackday tyres after a few sessions...

I hope it stays together.. after those laps in the first vid I noticed the temp needle was off the scale.. Took ages to get it cooled down..and required 7.5 litres of water...
Am out on track in the UK next weekend so I hope it holds together....

Nice vid Piers, your vids are always a joy to watch as you always pass people and no one passes you. Piers, I think the final touch your car should have is an LSD, your car already exits and handles corners as if it has one, so having one should make you that much faster.

EDIT: I forgot, you are in fact in the process of getting an LSD

For temperature control, build better fan shrouding. I noticed my MX6 temps are on average always higher than in the Probe. I'm guessing it's because the radiator is closer to the engine, and also the front end geometries allow for more airflow in the Probe. Also the Probe has better fan shrouding, but with a little aluminum sheeting you can get much more focused airflow through the radiator.

There should be no surprise that the 6 passes the Loti and other 'quick' cars out there - with a power/weight ratio equal to or better than them, it just takes a better driver to better them

Vids look great

Thanks Dan... I have already tweaked the shrouds and normally the temps are rock solid.. I think I got air into the system and didn't bleed it correctly.. Thing is I have no idea how long the temp was off the scale as I was puching very hard.. Hopefully the engine is not fecked...
