probe ze vs Cobalt ss sc(vid inside)

I was out with some my boys the other nite. I let my boy try out my blow off valve on his ls turbo crx. Anyway We go riding around in my probe and run into a local guy with a modded cobalt ss sc. We get two runs from a stop in before we have to leave the scene. i let off in 4th gear both times. I trap like 95ish in the 1/4 with out shifting to 4th so we are over 100in the vids. One of the races is horrrible but the other you can see how good his top end is on he cobalt. I backed off before him at the end of that run cause of a curve. He flies around it and almost wrecks his car. Anyway here are the vids.

damn... what happened the one race? He miss 2nd or something? Looks like me vs. my buddies SS with intake.... except he doesn't come back on me in the top end

Yea i think he did miss second or something. He didnt have a passenger either. Funny how my open diff out launches a car with lsd

Nice kill. I beat an SS S/C at the track before and she def caught me at the end, although I beat her E/T. Her trap was either 98 or 99 mph while i'm usually around 93-95.

it took you about 9 secs to top out 1st and 2nd gear, thast like 0-60 in 9 sec?, not to be a mood killer, but somethign is wrong with your car, or were you guys racing uphill or something?

i just couldnt belive that cobalt cachted up so fast. my mx-3 ze usually takes about 6-7 sec 0-60, its yours auto or something?

No there is nothing wrong with my car. I had a passenger (both of us are over 200)and my car is on 18s. My ze swap is like 5yrs old and its a mx6 tranny in my car so 2nd goes past 60 up around 70. I looked at the vid again and yea it took me around 8 second to get to 3rd gear. And you hear me chirp 2nd so you know i am not auto. Considering how long i spun in 1st i dont think that 8secs to third gear is that bad for a 3000+ lb probe on 18s. The cobalt isnt stock by the way. Yea he caught me there is no denying that and the fly by looked worse cause i slowed for the curve he didnt but I held him off into the triple digits though . Well past a 1/4 mile. Whats your mx3 ze run in the 1/4? Also in 9sec i would be about done an 1/8 mile cause car my usually goes 9.3s @ 76mph with full interior, just though i would throw that out there.

man a cobalt SS sc whooped my ass...at a launch and i couldn't catch up,,,but when we went from a 55mph pull i stayed neck and neck with him...guess what I'M STOCK TOO! A ****IN KLDE neck and neck with a SUPERCHARGER COBALT...its got to be the PROBE OR THE DRIVER!!!

A stock de probe will not keep up with a cobalt ss sc from a 55mph roll unless the cobalt driver didnt downshift to the right gear.

no ppl i was definitely racing the supercharged version...i didn't say anything about i didn't push my motor to the limit...he did leave me around 95-100mph...but we was neck to neck for a moment and it wasn't a short moment either
