Traction Bars (2nd Gen Probe/Mx6) BULK BUY #2!!

Approved by Stacey B.

There seemed to be plenty of intrest in the traction bars, so we have decided to do a second full bulk buy . PLEASE read this entire post before sending any money!

Bulk Buy Item(s):
Traction bars for the 2nd gen probe/mx6. These bars bolt to the control arms and frame with an adjustable tie rod. This places tension on the control arms eliminating wheel hope and improving traction. The bars will be made completely of mild steel and will come bare without any coatings. There is however an option for powder coating (BLACK ONLY) for those who would like to have them coated.

The brackets for the bars have been laser cut, and bent in a custom forming die that we have made. Our brackets are made as one piece, welded together to form a VERY strong bracket that will not flex or fatigue. You could stand on the brackets without flexing them.

To get an unbiased opinion of the traction bars, i had a third party test the traction bars, for fit and functionality. Jordan AKA Shaodome on PT, has been testing the t-bars for the past six months for me, and has reported that ALL wheel hop has been eliminated, and a significant improvement in traction. This is all on his T/C'd mx6. If you have any questions about the fit/function of these bars, please dont hesitate to ask, or PM me.

if any one is still undecided. This is an adjustable item. It compensates for your control arm bushings natural wear. They were installed this winter, and when the spring came there was more play in my control arms. I had them adjusted, and the car is back to it's amazingly smooth operation again. It's a great investment in the safety and reliability of your cars front suspension.

Fast on the track, and still tough enough for the streets. Are you a CityRacer?

You could technicly weld both the brackets onto the frame and the control arm if you really wanted. There isnt a need to though, these brackets are secured to the frame with the same bolt that holds your control arm on, and then 2 bolts that go straight through your control arm for the second bracket.

I have yet to see anyone who has had problems with the brackets coming loose. If you really wanted you can weld them to the car, but again, id highly recomend you just use the supplied hardware to fasten it to the car.

Will these affect alignment or control arm wear?

The alignment depends on how much play is in your existing control arm bushings. We recomend that you have an alignment done after you install the bars. As long as you follow the installation instructions and dont over adjust the the bars, it wont promote any pre-mature wear on the control arm bushings.

Quick question...I didn't notice if these will work on a MX-3....

I know that our suspensions are pretty close, but I know that there is some significant differences, and I am wondering if these bars can compensate for this.

If you notice HPPWDN is on the list for t-bars. He has an mx3, and i am making him a "special" set to test for me to see if it will fit the mx3. There is a few small modifications that need to be made to the bars at my end in order for them to fit the mx3. Once i get his set shipped out he is going to test the bars to make sure they fit and function properly on his mx3.

Once that is completed, we are going to try and run another bulk buy on the mx3 boards for the moddified bars. Hope this helps!
