ls turbo crx vs sti and sti vs probe turbo

Well i was finishing up putting fenders, hood, and front bumper on my car, had my friend who owns a ls turbo crx help me out. You guys know i hit a deer back in november. It was in the upper 40s today so i finally got the car drivable. Glad i got that done early in the day cause it was below freezing tonite. Anyway we were bored so...... We called up some of the boys to meet up. The same sti that i raced back in november had beat the crx a few weeks ago. The sti was inthe shop having something done to it i aint sure what it was. He didnt tell anyone what he was doin to it but anyway. It was time for a rematch. The crx wanted revenge on the sti and the sti was determined to beat me. I wasnt planning on racing tonite but i did anyway.

On the way there i ran the crx from a roll and i maybe had like a fender on him(didn get it on tape). the crx ran the sti from a 20 roll(he wont do a 40), and once from a dig(yea we know it was pointless). Then i ran the sti from the 20 roll again.

LOL. He was due to beat me. In warmer weather he cant beat me at all from a roll 1st gear roll. He has no chance from a 40 roll. But anyway if you want i can come your way when it warms up. I am gonna be upping the boost here pretty soon.

Tell the sti to run you to 140, I have no doubt, that you will pull past the STI over 110, quite easily.

I tuned it more. I will post up more videos after it gets warmer out. Temps below freezing isnt really helping me.

I am really thinking about going turbo on my ZE now. Just seeing your car on 5psi is quick which would be plenty for me. I already have MS too just not installed.

not when the probe's weak fifth gear gives out. the STi can counter the argument with well let's race until 6th gear...

regardless, when racing on the street, if the two cars are so dead even through fourth (or their 1:1 gear), just let out and call it a day. racing in overdrive gears is stupid, they're meant for fuel economy and it's just going to be the battle of who has the better fuel economy gear.

8-10psi is where my boost is gonna end up, its still on 5psi(wastegate spring) right now. Still gotta do more body work to it before i worry about the boost. I need to run the car on a warm to day to see if the clutch if slipping or not. That nite i could do a 40 roll from 2nd gear and get wheel spin. 30degree weather wasn't really helping my car get traction.

Anyway we ran from 1st gear, he pulled away thru 1st and 2nd. I couldnt reel him in before we let off so I lost. I will post a rematch maybe this weekend its supposed to be warmer.
