Bangi'n the Limiter at the AutoCross

Here's a little Autocross montage, lots of exterior shots, sliding around and lots of rev limiter. It wasn't worth it to shift to 2nd only to get right back to 1st, so limiter it was!

Thank god the KL engine is stout, we had 20 runs between two drivers that day, still happily made the 450mile trip home to Salt Lake

Turn it up!

And here's some pics from the day
I think this one is my favorite:

Not quite locking them up into a hard left hander

It may have not been worth shifting into second for the event, but it will when it comes to the life of your valvetrain.

Have you done any work on it, or is it all stock? Even if it's a de valvetrain, bouncing it off the limiter does take its toll on the parts.

Stiffer valve springs would cure that though, so, bounce away!

Car sounds good, btw.

Thanks!!

And yes, it was a mess of pylons, las vegas region has a bad habbit of overusing cones... They figure if they've got e'm might as well use e'm!!

A good course uses as few cones as possible. But they are getting better

Looks great... I'm accustomed to banging off the rev limiter in Autotesting.. Way quicker than changing up the back down...
BTW, Here's a clip of me hitting the limiter last Sunday... Was my worst test but you get the idea...

I think I'm the only guy on Earth that likes more cones at autocross, I must be blind or something. If they could put a cone every 6" to make it like a corridor I would love it, lol.

Don't listen to these guys, keep it on the limiter.
