Ls Block on some type of head, with a B18 something mated to an LSD trans.

Either way it was V-Tec and it was quick.

I watched him run a whining Cobalt SS before me, and he rocked the SS.

I got called out by a couple of my buddies to run him.

I agreed. Just to have some fun even if I lost. It was nice out.

i just put this to be funny. I dont know exactly what he had done. But he personally told me he took the motor out and rebuilt it. also added an lsd trans and whatever else to make it as quick as it was.

and the ss was not slow. those move pretty good with mods.

and this was not on the bottle.

my guess is he had a LS block with maybe a B20Z head on a Type R trans... just my guess tho.. and im thinking it was a Cobalt SS the non supercharged one... if im wrong please correct me but that would be my guess

Probably just a gsr teg maybe a plain ls. Either way he lost to the probe so good kill. Just dont say built unless you really mean built. A block/head combo isnt really built.

Good video. I can't believe you ran from a dig. Never thought I'd see the day. Who knows what kinda power hes actually making, but good run regardless.

all the LS tranny just has longer gears, probably just converted is LS bottom and added a Vtec head, and intake manifold..

but its still an awesome kill

umm, did say "whining" SS didnt he?
that would be my first clue meaning he was supercharged, being that superchargers "whine"

yes, the cobalt was supercharged, lol. would I be racing an integra that raced a cobalt ls? no.

if really wanted, I can get ahold of my buddy and do an interview with him where he lists all of his mods, lol. OR you could just believe me.

Ls was not worked in the least, and if a worked LS beat an SS then he would have walked you as well.. UNless you sprayed which I think you did, OR you raced a stock LS... lol

more or less, how one with bolt-ons performs?

ask anyone in this forum. a good running klze with a few breathers will eat a cobalt ss alive. I've done it at least a dozen times.

I also, know how a cobalt SS performs, and a modded ze will not eat a cobalt alive.. and to say such is funny.. not only is a ze a swap but you have to modd it to give a cobalt ss a run.

Like I said, it was an ls that was stock.. Not much too really brag about..

IF that was an ls I Highly doubt it was stock or lightly modded, ls integras are SLOW, I know because I either drive one or ride in one everyday... And I have raced Daniel when he was on a 55 shot... He was not spraying.

lol.. ls integs or shoudl I say.. rs or gs( same motors) give KLDE probes stock for stock a run for there money.

With that said, we have no established a base.

Mild head work on a b18a/b plus header intake manifold will net around 140hp to the wheels easy. Throw in a set of p30 pistons and you will be putting down easly 150whp with a decent tune. Throw in a set of crower 403's and your looking at near if not 170whp.. This is all in a car thats a couple hundred lbs less.

That "ls" integ if it was built would have been right at your door NA to NA with you haveing a ze, and which seems to go along with the teg beating the SS as bad as you claim but even then it wouldnt have been that bad, it would have been the same outcome as you. Right at the SS's door on a STOCK SS.

Hate mag racing, but the SS/SC is underated bad in mags, and is very capable of hitting into the 14's easly, stock. SS can go from 0-60 mph in 6.1 stock, and weighs under 2800lbs..

Also, that teg wasnt vtec.. You cant even hear an intake on his car. lol Stock ls with a b16 tranny
