MX-6 Hillclimb

Haven't posted a vid in a while.. Took part in a hillclimb a couple of weeks ago in the MX-6.. Turns out that car was way too big for the event and way to stiffly sprung for those very bumpy roads... Tyres weren't soft enough either...

Here's a short clip of one run on a simple section of course... The chicanes were way too tight...

This video reminds me of targa rallys. Beyond my want to track the car, I really want to do a targa rally some day. The part carnage experienced by the competitors in these events does scare me though. They hit some really rough terrain sometimes..
is it expensive to enter events in the IRL?

Fast on the track, and still tough enough for the streets. Are you a CityRacer?

.. Ireland.. Approx €250 for the two days. A few cars ended upside-down in a ditch at that event... It looks very slow on video but I can tell you at 100mph on those narrow bumpy roads I was sawing away at the wheel trying not to get pitched off the road... You don't get to see the road or course before you drive them so it keeps you on your toes not knowing what is around the next bend...

Great go, You can tell you never drove that track when you slow down and then pop over the hill at the end of your vid and see its still a straight away. I wouldnt take any chances though.
The ZE still sounds sexy!

Lol.. If you look closely you'll see that I was at the end of that timed section when I slowed down. There is a sign with a red dot on the left to denote the finish line.. It was a very short run.. What's difficult it glancing at the recorded time display when going through the finish line flat out...

Its a Standard ZE... I had a bit of fun with people coming over to me asking what the car was.. 'does it have a rotary engine?' etc.. Plenty of them thought it sounded amazing as it screamed up the hill... I was sharing the driving with a friend and thought it sounded particularly good as the sound reverberated off the nearby buildings at 7500rpm...
