me none...
matt this is like the 2nd thread you made about oil consumption problems. have you tried using a new PCV valve? if its plugged all that extra crankcase pressure will blow right past your valve seals and burn off.

yes the pcv is good...
maybe im just a little paranoid...its not a ton of oil being lost... but its like i cant rev on my car without seeing a noticeable difference in oil level... & i'm letting my car sit on level surfaces for hours before checking... im talking about 1 day sessions too... not talking about over a span of a month or 2... 1 days worth of spirited driving & im noticing slight changes

we run a 1994 2.0 probe in a FWD 4 cyl class on a local dirt bull ring. it uses about a quart of oil in and evening which is only about 25 laps on a 3/8 mile track. Of course this is at about 7500-8000 rpm. It smokes bad when you first start it and idle. Not too noticeable at speed. Thought it was a bad vavle seal but we must have a broken ring in #1 cylinder. That plug is oily all the time. Still makes plenty of power. Will rebuild over winter. Key is, do not let it get down on oil. A quart of oil is cheaper than a blown engine.

I see what I consider very little oil loss. Perhaps at most 1quart over 1-2k miles, in which I might do 5-10 autocross events.
Of course at those events I may have a co-driver, in between she sees the rev limiter on the street a few times, and plenty on race day. I have noticed that with a very high rpm 1-2 shift, on the limiter around a corner she will occasionally puff a small blue cloud, but with all the oil sloshing around I'm not surprised, or worried. Track days I've seen no oil consumption. That's 4-5 20min sessions. It gets changed just before and immediately after a track day.

Mobil1 Extended Performance 10w-30 for normal driving and autocross. It gets changed when it starts getting dark. Usually around 2-2500 miles.
Redline for track/lapping days at MMP. The weight depends on ambient temperatures. Pretty much anything above 90deg amb I'll run 20w-50, anything below that I'll put in one quart of 5w-30 to thin it out. Coldest track day I did was about 60 deg, for that I ran straight 10w-30. I run Redline for the track because it's got a LOT of moly, 6-800ppm compared to 80-100 for Mobil1. I like the thought of lots of high temperature, high pressure wear protection when I'm running at 5-8k rpm for 20 min sessions in 105deg heat, and coolant/oil temps at 230deg+ I run on fresh oil and drain it after every track day. Overkill? Yes. But at 130k miles I'll take all the overkill I can get. It's safe to say I put more stress on my engine than most. http://user.streetfire.net/video/MX6...gin_636119.htm

I race at a 1/4 mile dirt oval and use about a pint to half a pint on a average night. The big question I have is how do you get that many RPM? The rev limiter shuts me down at about 7200. A little more rpm would really help!
