I'm getting around to selling my 95 GT after all these years and thought I'd see if anyone on the forums might want it before it goes on craigslist. It's been in the garage for the last 5 years but I'm in the process of replacing a few suspension parts and it will be running shortly. It needs a timing belt service but I'm not sure if it's worth my time to do that.
Let me know if you are interested… hopefully people still read this forum. I don't see any probes for sale anywhere so I'm not sure what these are going for now. I will price it out soon as I get it back on the road though.
I tried uploading a photo but the site isn't allowing me due to some usergroup's upload quota rule.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bought the car in 1999 with 97k. Currently has 165k miles on body and transmission. Engine has 108k. Clean title.
Body:
Silver blue mist metallic paint according to window sticker (It's the light purple/pink color)
Typical body/paint wear for this mileage.
Rear quarter panel has a door dent in it.
Rear spoiler clear coat is peeling
Tinted windows 20%
Engine:
KLDE engine was replaced when I bought it from a Ford mechanic. Based on s/n, it's from a 1993 probe. Used engine had ~40k mi when installed in car @ 97k mi. So the body and tranny have 57k more than engine which puts engine mileage at 165-57=108k. Timing belt was replaced at this time.
Replaced valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gasket, throttle body gasket, and all vacuum hoses at 136k.
Water pump replaced at 127k.
Exhaust:
Borla catback
Magnaflow high flow cat
Stock headers
Intake:
Has an aftermarket intake with 3in pipe but I will probably put back on the stock intake for now since it needs a new filter.
Transmission:
South bend clutch installed at 136k - Stage 0+ (I think) rated somewhere at ~215 ft-lbs torque. It uses an exedy clutch disk with modified pressure plate for greater clamping force. Has a light pedal feel just like OEM clutch.
MX3 flywheel (K801 16.9lb vs probe flywheel KL01 21.3lb)
PRD short shifter
Tranny shifts well but 1st and 2nd are a bit notchy (could be just from short shifter). The majority of mileage before I bought it was highway miles over a 4 year period
Never launched this car or raced, just spirited street driving. I read how fragile these transmissions were to begin with and wanted it to last.
Suspension:
Eibach springs (1.2in drop I think)
Tokico Illumina adjustable struts
16mm rear swaybar from Mazda 626 (still have the oem 12mm bar somewhere)
New ball joints, rear control arm bushings, front and rear end links
Steering:
Steering rack was replaced at 127k with a re-manufactured rack
Brakes:
Corksport SS brake lines + clutch line
New rear cardone refurbished calipers, centric rotors, pads
Front rotors are worn on inside due to sticking calipers. I cleaned and greased the sliding pins but calipers need a rebuild/replacement eventually. I already bought Centric front rotors awhile back for this job.
Wheels/Tires:
Bridgestone RE750 - Old and need to be replaced. Plenty of tread left though.
OEM wheels have some curb rash from previous owner
Lighting:
Hella e-code (H4 bulbs) headlight housings
Catz MSX yellow fog lights (Have oem fog lights and brackets also)
Interior:
Great shape for this age of car. Typical wear on drivers seat, other seats are in great condition)
Everything functions normally (sunroof, windows, locks, HVAC system, etc.)
Stereo:
Mid to High end stereo from late 90's era. Head unit, all 4 speakers, and 4ch amp. Wired for a sub woofer but never installed one. Front right speaker is not working properly, haven't had time to diagnose.
Sound deadening material applied to entire interior floor.
Alarm:
Compustar alarm w/ remote start. The remote is finicky with battery connection and probably just needs to be replaced. Can still lock car with oem remote but alarm isn't active.
