  • stock air box

it may have been asked before, but i couldn't find it. someone tell me what the two wires (one looks like a little orange sensor) plugged into the back of the stock air box are. are they important? i'm trying to run a home depot cai. do i just take them off?

One should be a black hose. You're gonna have to put that back on when you make your CAI. The other is you IAT sensor, you're also gonna have to tap a hole on your intake as it also does something. I haven't made a CAI ( I bought one) but I know you have to make sure those things function the way they were supposed to. I'm pretty sure someone has directions on where to put those two wires one a Home Depot CAI. Hope this helps.

this is kinda off the topic, but ya might also want to look into the IAT mod. It's only gonna cost ya about $5, and I guess it's well worth it. I've only heard 2 peoples responses to the mod, and they both had good things to say about it. Its not gonna really gain hp, but supposedly it gets a lil more kikk outa your shifting. http://members.home.net/95probe/index.html It may not work on the 2.0, but look into it a lil more, and good luck with your CAI. Make sure those hoses are snug in the CAI, no air should be creapin through.
