I still don't know of anyone running this setup on a 95 disty. I tried twice as did Turbo Mark. I even tried with a 93-94 disty and the adapter and only got smoke coming out of the disty. I've had a jacob's cap forever now, but my disty still works, so I'm not looking to put one in for sometime. Why the 95 is so different I have no idea, but this stuff was discussed in detail years ago and to much debate no results, proven that is, were had.

The ignitor replacement though I have not researched, search and on that you might come up with something.

    Your joking....

isnt the 93-to 94 the same just a different wire harrness pin config ?

Anybody have a wiring diagram for 93 mx6, 6al MSD, Blaster 2 Coil, #8910 tach adapter? I've searched through this whole thread and others. All the links seem to be dead.

If I've already done the HEI mod in the past do I have to stick with using that and wire that into the setup or can I throw that out and just use all the MSD gear? Reason I'm asking is because the only recent wiring diagram I did find was one where the guy kept his HEI setup and used the MSD here for reference:http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/...media/178174_1

    Thanks!

(edit) Also I don't have the MSD harness that everyone talks about. What extra steps will I need to take?

(edit #2) I found the performanceprobe diagram. I don't understand the portion of the distributor modification. Pretty much these steps: "Locate the wire connector with three wires on the distributor. Disconnect the metal tab that connects wire #1 (yellow/green wire) on the connector to the distributor.
Cut the wire from the distributor that connects to wire #2 (yellow/blue wire) on the connector and attach it to wire #1 on the connector"

Is it really necessary to remove the distributor to do this? From what I read/understand can't I just switch these two wires on the outside of the three pin connector? Also this diagram does not mention the tach adapter that I need for my car. Jesus this post is getting long with questions.

ok guys i hope these are as direct as i can possibly get:

    1) i have a 93 v6 and i just installed a turbo on it.

    2) i have a MSD 6AL with a blaster 2 coil

what i can't understand is, i ONLY use the 3 wire harness off the distibutor to hook this up right? Reason why is my tach is not working and if i understood this correctly that after cutting the green wire from the 3 wire harness that goes from the distributor to the ecu. i connected the white wire from the msd to the green wire on the side that goes to the ECU. Or should it be hooked to the green wire going to the distibutor.

Also i TAPPED the red wire into the black wire without cutting it. So have i done this correctly? If so then can someone help me to figure out why the car WILL start but will die if i don't hold the gas. also when i sometimes rev it up it sounds like it is missing as it will break up sometimes. I changed my plugs and it sounds like it help this situation as it revs alot smoother now but still won't stay started on its own. My next question is do i NEED a tach adaptor or not? If not then how do i get my tach to work?

Does anyone have any diagrams for a MSD install on a 93/4 PGT using the internal coil and the MSD harness that they could post or email to akprobegt@adelphia.net All I'm finding is ones with external coils and dead links.

Okay, all is installed exactly to starr's setup and runs with two problems, i don't have a tach signal (Its a 93 so i shouldn't need the signal wire) and smoke came out of my prd cap (I've read it happens, but the wires are getting damn hot!) Any suggestions?

Can someone help me out here. I hooked up a 6btm per order of the msd adapter. The thing works but it slightly misfires, and reacts late to the pedal. I've looked at everything, cylinder selection, new plugs, checked all the wires, connected it as described in the instructions, tried with boost withought boost, everything!!! Is a external coil necessary for this!!?? Another weird thing is that the instructions say to the the yellow/blue wire and not yellow/black. I have yellow/green and yellow/blue wich i used but doesn't solve the problem. I read in antoher thread that the black/pinke should be hookeed up to one of the white wires on the msd harness but thats wrong acording to the instructions. What gives here?
