          Jason,

I came up to MSP around 12:30 to 1:15 roughly and didn't see anyone. It was around the time the hotdogs and hamburgers were done and he kept talking about them almost being done. What time did you get there. Damie, guy with the red FD and headlight kit entered the car show at hi-fi buys on Barrett Pkwy that same day. The crowd over there was easily in the 100 plus car range, larger than the MSP one. Looking at the cars at both shows, your car would have fit in at the hi fi group, SEEMED to be higher quality cars at the hi fi buys car show, IMHO.

          See everyone soon,

Sorry, I didn't have any times for the show, but it was apparently 1-5 -- apparently all MSP shows are those times. Anyway, I was there from 3-4 and also saw John Pardus and Jason Matthews from the club. Probably had about 40 cars in this show. I would say the highlights at this show were a new Dinan BMW M5 (supercharged with 700 hp) and a Mugen S2000. Some other well-done cars but those took the cake IMO. Wish I'd know about the HifiBuys show...

was it the red dinan m5 with a yuong kid driving it? He was going from show to show, cruising through. I would have loved to have caught him on I-75 and see if he was really making that kind of hp. Did it have a supercharger, turbos, or somthing else to up the hp that much? A dyno sheet to show the HP? The exhaust wasn't loud to be such a hi flowing, hi-HP car.

No Dyno and he has not done a thing to it since it came from Dinan in Germany. It is a V8 twin turbo as I did see the Turbos, but I will agree it was very quiet even for a Beamer.

Well guess who I saw last night cruising campus here at Georgia Tech as I was jogging the campus loop with some friends? Yup, the red Dinan M5 -- I know it was him because I read the badge on the back. He was hauling ass when he passed, and then he drove back by again because I think he missed his turn. The car sounded really good, but not "crazy" loud. He sure as hell drives the crap out of that car...

The guy's a jackass anyway -- apparently he curbed the car on Saturday while giving a demo ride and messed up the front fascia. He also said the car costs $140K and was "the most expensive car in the parking lot." OK, who says that to random strangers that just walk up???? What an arragant bastard

Oh, and the quad exhaust setup that comes on all new M5's is plenty "high-flow" for just about any turbo or supercharger application.

I saw that guy with the red M5 on Barrett Pkwy tonight. The car is way faster than a 93 PGT. I don't even think he knows I was trying to race him. The car isn't loud at all, but the exhaust looks to be quite large. It sounds very good. Very deep tone. The guy does seem to be a jerk.

BTW- My friends' club (Team RICE) was there and that's who I was hanging around. The judging there was very poor and MSP was very dissappointed. The S2000 with the FULL Mugen kit and carbon fiber hood got a 10 out of 50 on exterior mods and was in the "Civic" class.

jbt, if you still have your escort beater, start parking next to the asshole. everywhere he goes on campus. that'd be kinda funny, $140k car, telling it to strangers?? its a good way to get it lifted, or at least jacked up.
