  • Finally!!!! 1995 PGT MTX.....

Alright, I sent out my deposit yesterday for a 1995 Probe GT with a black interior, sunroof, MTX! The tranny is good shape as fas as the owner knows and the motor is bad, but is no longer in the car which is fine by me.

I will pick it up toward the end of the month, but here are some pics that the owner sent me....almost looks like someone spilled a bag of potato chips then sat on all of them

Ok Adam, you ....! That is the color (inside and out), the year, and the options except that I wanted an auto (because I'm getting olddddd!).
No really, congrats. Perfect for your project. Where do you have to go to get it?

Yeah, but I'm going to strip that paint off....it's a shame cause it looks like it's in such good shape.

I've got to go to Omaha to pick it up.

that's a good ways out! good luck picking it up.

that's the same color my 2nd gen was. i loved that color! the only real difference is that mine didn't have a spoiler or sunroof. oh yeah, and it was euro-spec!

Thats is a nice car it looks kind of like mine i am already thinking of al the stuff you should do to it. When the novelty of the Probe wears off you may want something else, thats what i am going through i have been trolling the Lexus Forum and Supra forums since i was thinking a 95 Lexus SC300 with a 2JZ-GTE and 6 speed would be tight. I'll probably end up building a truck i have dumped to much in the Probe to get rid of it.

              Happy 1000th post!

Yeah well here's the list of everything that will be done hopefully by fall:

KL03 Block, P&P Race Heads with CZT or ZE Intake Manifold
              8.7:1 CR Pistons
Forged Pistons, Rods, Wrist Pins, Titanium Valve Retainers & locks
blueprinting of the block, removal of all casting marks
glass-beading of block and heads (to make everything extra smooth and pretty)
              custom grind cams
              PMO Turbo Kit
              Eibach Pro-Kit
              Tokico Illumina Struts
              5ZIGEN 17x8 Hyper Black FN01R Wheels (less than 13 pounds each )
              Walbro 255lph fp
              Stand-alone EMS (undecided which brand)
              upgraded injuectors (undecided flow rate)
Full 3" Mandrel Bent Exhaust with Borla Muffler

I think that's all of the main stuff, beside interior/exterior etc. I'm pouring A LOT of money into this PGT, but I think it will be well worth it.

DAMN dude you will have the sickest Probe in the 505 with a setup like that good luck with it. Build anything that makes you happy. People used to always ask me "why a Probe"? and i would say cus its different B****. It has a much greater cool factor then a Honda but it will cost you. Its pretty sad considering i have been on the forum for almost 4 years and only have a lil over 1000 posts. eh oh well.

adam, you might want to go with some sort of straight thru muffler instead of the borla. the HKS muffler from their turbo cat-back would be a choice. not sure what it's called. you want as little back pressure as possible when running a turbo.

looking at those pics of your 95 PGT makes me miss mine! i still have keys to that car too. who knows, maybe i'll see it someday and i can just unlock it, start it and drive it away!

I may look into the HKS or maybe a Magnaflow

If I eventually wanted to supercharge my car, would a Borla have to much back pressure? I wouldn't think so.

The Borla Cat-Back for the PGT would. The I.D. on the piping is only about 2" (IIRC) which is far too small for forced induction applications. Depending on Boost level I would imagine between 2.5" and 3" would suffice.

                          Adam,
Are you going to shim the oil pump? More flow and pressure will definitely help support the rest of the build.

You bet! I will also get a Toga High-performance (not sure how high-performance it actually is) to help with everything.

Oil pressure and flow is a big concern for me as it appears that's what killed my last two motors!
