  • Any interest in Electromotive?

Hey everyone, After talking to Alistar, I have decided to upgrade to the Motec Stand Alone, Full Race System - M800. With a little different ignition setup.

I am interested in selling the COMPLETE electromotive setup from the RR-PGT

It includes, The Tec 3 ECU itself, Direct Fire Ignition Setup, All related sensors, Such as crank, hall, MAT, Ect

Its currently installed on the car and is a VERY nice unit - I am looking to sell for 2,500 OBO - Just the Tec3 ECU is 2300 bucks. This is an outstanding setup and will be overkill for any PGT.

I just have decided to go extreme overkill with the Motec, Its quite a bit more expensive

I'm open to offers on this item, and will consider partial trades + cash.

    Thanks in advance,

    Austin Duncan

Believe me, When its done.. It wil be MUCH better.

The motec system is a very very nice system, But with their Ingition setup its almost 6,000 bucks for JUST the ecu and igntion coils and plate. This is not including any sensors, wiring harness.

      Im only selling to upgrade

Ive spent a little more then 4,000 on the car since I bought it, 2 months ago. That number just keeps going up. Im in the process of powdercoating a TON of parts. All of the suspension parts, hubs, mounting brackets, ect are going to be powdercoated.

An extensive suspesion upgrde is being done, Bilstien road race struts custom setup, Motec M800 Engine Management, Fully ported supercharger with Polished housing, Larger dia intake piping, More port work, Re-Doing the wiring, Replacing the fans with something a bit nicer, Cog Pulleys for the supercharger custom made by ASP Racing, Sparco Milano seats, Powdercoated Roll Cage, Flat black seat area, All C2 Gauges, Further weight reduction, Rear Brake upgrade using Brembo Calipars from an Evo8 in progress.

So, As you can tell there is extensive plans for this car. Hopefully all will complete by Next summer.

Anyway, Back on topic. Need to sell this setup to help fund the new Engine management.

Was Motec suggested by Allister? The reason I asked is that he always talked highly of any standalone system but, Motec has come out of his mouth more than any other sytem. You should also look into Haltech

Ive looked into a few, Its quite good - But yes, Motec is by Alistar suggestion.

Ive seen it in action, its quite good.

Very, Very easy to tune, but expensive.

But, I need to sell the Electromotive to upgrade, For what your getting, Its an EXTREMELY good price, The stuff is in MINT condition.

          Regards,

            Another thing...
I wouldn't touch a thing on that car. Isn't it already running good? TecIII is a good system and if you're looking at other systems, look at them all
One thing I beleive would benefit our cars would be the trannys. $6000 is a good investment into the tranny. With that kind of cash you could easily adapt another tranny from some other car and at the same time upgrade the entire front end. Hell maybe a Mitsubishi Eclipse AWD upgrade can be done....(I know it seems kinda far fetched but I'm a fabricator) But, that's my opinion...do as you like

I will be buying the Quaife 32G Sequential Gearbox. After everything else in my list is acomplished, This way there is no tranny problems what so ever.

It is a big investment - almost 20,000 bucks. Which is why I want to finish everything else first
