So I was on sloppy mechanics Facebook page, and someone bought Dan's RWD White probe, and put a carbed 302 in it..... I feel violated, lol.

My buddy sent this to me. It kind of defeats the point of keeping it stock ish.

I replied to it saying basically that. Dan built that car like it should have came from the factory, would have been the FRS of the 90's, basically. Would have been a good rival to the 240/Silvia!

Yeah, and I wasn't too impressed with the power output either. A small efficient snail on the ZE would have made that

I know right, what's this guy thinking?!... The point of converting a Probe to RWD is to keep it stock!

Not only did he put a carburetor on there, he put fuel rails too!! Doesn't this guy know anything about cars?!

I know dueces! Only 350HP out of a NA 95GT 5.0? Like, who puts V8s that didn't come factory in a Probe in their RWD Probe?..........................

Well that was just Rude!!!!! Lol

My point was the purpose of building that was much more about it being a good all around car. It probably had great balance and relatively nimble.

When Matt Maas built the car I had, straight line was the full intent.

All in good fun. No ill-intent

Since the cat's out of the bag anyhow, I bought this car almost 3 years ago and Dan himself fabbed the v8 up in this car as part of the sale.

So don't worry, Dan's feelings aren't hurt too bad.

Haha I saw this too. To be fair, his original intent with a RWD PGT was to put an LS in it...

Ha Ha, fair enough! I didn't think he wanted V8, for some reason I was thinking he wanted KL the whole time.

I am simply glad that someone, GTTRacing91PGT, bought it. All the double time whiners that keep complaining that it should've been a KL in there. And the additional mentioning that its tearing apart something great. Tough flipping beans. Dan offered up for sale for a long time and only one person walked in with the cash. AND its his car and he can do what he wants with it. So for all the people who incessantly whine about how it should've stayed as is, suck it up butter cup.

I am glad someone got it and made it their own.

                          2. I still blame Dan.
                          3. What happened to Dan?

The great thing about projects is -

                            1) You do what you want with them
                            2) If confused, refer to #1
