  • Finally Back In A Probe!

I got my first Probe when I was 16 years old. It was a 96 Black PGT with a 5 speed. I loved it dearly throughout my school years.

When I graduated college and got a real job, I convinced myself I needed to buy a newer car with my newfound money. I've regretted it since.

I've spent years checking the forums, craigslist, etc for the right Probe to come up for sale. Well 2 weeks ago I finally found it. It's been 13 years since I bought my first Probe, but being in this car still feels right at home.

Here she is, a beautiful 1997 GTS with only 92k miles on the clock. Even came with the original window sticker I put in a new stereo deck, backup camera, and amplifier over the weekend.

I'll get some better pictures soon!

What JVC unit is that? My car is already wired for one I was going to put a 7" DVD in mine but having a backup cam would be nice

Thanks guys. I don't think this one is going to be for sale for a looong time! The previous owner did an amazing job keeping it clean.

It's a JVC KD-AV41BT. Literally the only head unit I could find that would display a video feed with a single DIN footprint. Overall it's pretty good, although the software seems just a tad glitchy at times. It's nice to have the Bluetooth to play music from my phone too, but the signal is pretty weak - if I even as much as cover up my phone with my hand, the bluetooth audio starts skipping.

Super clean for a car up North if that's indeed where you found it. Reminds me of mine prior to all of my mods. I'm curious on how much you landed it for? Congrats on the new whip. Enjoy!

That is awesome. Where did you find it? I check MN craigslist often and never saw this. If fact, I've never found a GTS anywhere this clean.

Thanks guys - it is an extremely clean car. The paint and the interior are immaculate and every accessory seems to work without issue. My only complaint would be wind noise from worn out weather stripping around the drivers door window.

I did find it on Minneapolis craigslist which I had bookmarked to search for Probes - so I clicked it most days just to see what was out there.

I ended up picking it up for $3500 which I thought was a fair price. I'll be posting more pictures soon!

We should have a MN meet-up sometime. Cars and Coffee would be great, but that's over for the year. I took mine a couple months ago; the only one there.

I'd be down for that. Seems like there's still a decent amount of us from MN still active on the forum
