  • Aftermarket FPR hose connections

Wondering how everybody is routing their fuel hoses for the aftermarket FPRs.

My AEM with braided hoses is a pain to get in place due to coolant hoses and TB stuff being in the way.

Give me some inspiration and show your installation

Im in the process of mounting mine as well and have sort of a dumb question. I've searched and search and cant find an answer anywhere on the internet of this..

Does the return line have to be gravity fed? Or is it pressurized and can have a slight 'uphill' in the hose? I just dont want it to pool in the low section of hose and back up into the AFPR or cause other issues...

The return line has pressure. its not gravity fed.. It would never be able to gravity feed all the way back to the tank. lol.

Ok thats what I figured.. thats why I said it was a dumb question lol. Well thats the answer I wanted to hear, saves me re-routing my current placement of it.

I'll throw up a pic of its placement when I get a chance. Its similar to short4stuff.

How did you guys connect your steel braided line to the fuel hardlines?

                    Is it just double-clamped?

Escort line isn't steel, unfortunately, it's plastic. I used a crimp fitting like what you see on 200-300psi air lines, with an adapter from there to -6AN. It's getting a fuel cell this winter so it'll just be -6AN directly from tank all the way to filter.

In that picture on the MX6, it was just clamped, but that's just like factory for that car. Has a ridge at the end.

It's now cut off and flared to -6AN line fitting, running to an Earl's -6AN inline filter.

Looking at all these, what pressure would/do you KL guys run when setting these up for NA. I was looking at doing one in the near future to put a walbro pump on as my fuel bleeds off when it sits and Ild like to have it perfect but read the walbro might be more than the stock unit can handle. Is 38-45 PSI w/o vacuum what I would be looking to achieve?
