I doubt this thread will get the response I hope it will but we'll try anyway.
I was going through my photobucket last night (holy hell, whats with all the ads and pop ups!?, reminds me of trying to find porn when I was 14.) and it took me way back. I dug through the pt archives for a few hours and couldn't help but get a little sad. I remember logging on here and spending hours digging through new threads. Now, I check in around once a month and its still the same old stuff. Shame everyone has moved to social media and facebook. I miss the activity this place use to have.
So I suppose ill go first. I sold my last probe a few years ago (prolly longer than that ago). Didn't really want to, it was just time for a change. I bought an frs and had some plans, but as with everyone else, life took over for awhile. I finally married the girl I had been with since 17 years old (turned 29 last month). We bought a house, and did the adult thing for awhile. I kept busy with other side cars (mostly civics, got pretty big into wire tucks and shaving engine bays) and house projects. Life got pretty boring for a bit. Not too many of my friends were still doing car things. Most have kids and their free time reflects that. The wife and I do not plan to have kids. We needed a change. Her mom had remarried and moved to texas years and years ago. We decided to give it a shot and move there. There was a job opportunity in their business and it all seemed too good to be true. Warm weather, good money (even though we already made good money), we could work together.. So we made the plunge, sold the house, sold our trucks, sold the civics. Hooked up our travel trailer (kept one tow vehicle) and off we went, hit some cool sights along the way.
Fast forward a couple of months. Things weren't what they seemed, job was crap, work/life balance was crap, bad environment. Things kinda fell apart. I wont get into the personals of it all but we were pretty much at a start over point in life. No jobs, *technically* no home state. Pretty much down for whatever. So, we got our CDL's and drive a semi as a team now. We are on the road pretty much indefinitely. We can go "home" if we want. But unless there is something going on we really don't care to. Or if Ryan needs help with his civic (hopefully he'll post on here also)
So, in conclusion, I'm not up to much. I still have my frs, in storage, under a car cover, awaiting its time that may never come. lol. Don't have any immediate plans.
So how about everyone else. How many old members are still lurking in the shadows? New people are cool too, not a clue how you guys are finding parts for probes still, it was a struggle years ago.
I wouldn't mind posting some past pics of projects but who the hell even offers free image hosting anymore? I haven't posted a pic on a forum in what seems to be forever ago.
EDIT:: On a side note, did the ProbeTalk.com tower ever get finished!?
