  • Overheating?

Yo so a week ago I bought a 95pgt. Runs legit but I've noticed. Less than ten minutes and my temperature gauge is already at normal temperature. Car doesnt over heat. I've done a radiator flush. Bought new radiator caps. And still same thing. Any ideas?

Sounds right. Was your last car a smaller 4 cyl.? V6 and V8 warm up quicker. I'd only worry if the temp gauge moves around a lot out of the middle. Or if there's a high - unstable idle. I drive to the gas station in the morning, about 1.5 miles, stop for coffee, then get back in and another mile and mine starts moving the needle up. Not even 10 minutes driving and mine is fine.

      At BluenoEQ

Last car was a v6 stang. And I still have a Honda 98 4cyl. Funny the Honda takes forever to warm up. But my probe less than five mintutes and dam. Well I'm having a mechanic. Change the water pump and a timing belt kit. Might as well check the heads. Hopefully is not the heads. Engines are hard to come by and more expensive than mustang engines

If you're not losing coolant, or mixing it with oil, or blowing white smoke, there isn't a loss of power or compression and the heads are bolted on, you should be fine. The car isn't overheating.

I have overheated one and it was fine. I've also ran one til it stopped, didn't realize it was still leaking and water doesn't smell like maple syrup, also no gauges at the time. If you have an issue, that needle will go up really quick. Like when my PS pump failed locked up broke the belt, not even 5 minutes and it boiled over. That engine was still fine. These engines aren't that expensive. Head gaskets are like $80 for a full engine kit.
