Picked up another set of newish condition silicone valve gaskets myself at the local JY. Valve covers were already removed and just laying there -so I just had to peel the gaskets out of the VCs. The JY stole $3 from me for them.
![]() Then I looked at the car and thought about installing them -then said to myself "na -more work than I feel like doing at the moment".

wasn't my probe i worked on this weekend, but stacey's. had to replace the brake hard line from the rear passenger wheel cylinder to the braided line. i'm not sure how it failed, but it did. fortunately, i was able to figure out a solution and it looks like it's holding for now.
thought it was the cylinder itself, so we had replaced both. as a result of that replacement, the drum bearing on the driver's side needs replacement, as the inner race split while putting the drum back on. ugh. |

Did a loop around the city for fun. On the way home, I'm sitting at a light and some chick half hanging out of the passenger window of a CR-V as they were going across the intersection, took the time to inform me that my car was old.

I put the new relay in, same issue... I installed a new fuel filter and it got worse... Turns out the MAF sensor (or whatever they're called on the Probe) was half unplugged Clicked it back and it and ran smooth. I felt like such an idiot... Oh well, one less thing to replace later on.

Got my airbag module apart. Going to replace the thermal fuse to hopefully get rid of the 51 code it started flashing.

Stock exhaust removed, Borla 2.5: exhaust from Trubendz installed. Install was quick and easy. I cant believe this has been sitting in the garage for the past 8 months waiting to get done.

4WS conversion
Hi all,
I'm hereby announcing to the world (Well...) that I have successfully converted my 95 Probe GT (V6) to Four Wheel Steering ![]() It wasn't what I would call a quick fix, but no welding was required... I did have a donor car though. Works really well, really improves handling, and the reduced steering wheel input is really nice. Parking now is a breeze! Cheers for now,

Worked on buffing it out a few days ago and doing some touch up's. Then roadwork on my road has coated it with enough dust it is starting to look like it is covered in shag carpet. New plug wires arrived yesterday in the mail and my front lip is on the Ups truck for todays deliveries.

Still trying to get it to start, it has been sitting in a warehouse for 9 months with multiple probelums. Is it just me or are these cars cursed?

My last Probe was cursed. Every time I got it going something else happened. My current one has had a lot of little issues but nothing that wasn't easily fixed. It has been a dream to own.

Started piecing it back together. Someone took the time to pop the window, take apart the steering column and made an attempt to hot-wire it…..

I replaced the fuel pump and then started the engine and moved the Probe under its own power for the first time since 2002. Today was a good day.

Led switchback front lights and clear lenses. Also installed Escort/ZX2 shifter bushings in the front part of the linkage, (only works for the front.) [URL]https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCigknVBdNmfgS79G1QURTiw

What did I do today to my Ford Probe?
I finally got it registered. http://i.imgur.com/vG2HRGC.jpg Ok technically I finally did this last week on Tuesday, but I've been sick and was on leave anyway, not much reason to drive. But today I actually commuted to work in it rather than short test drives around the house. http://i.imgur.com/6dg04Bj.jpg And you know what? It's still a great car to drive. Except the steering ratio is too slow. I prefer the quicker steering of the Evo or even the Speed 6. Good steering feel though. And trim pieces here and there are brittle. Which really sucks. And it definitely needs lowering springs. The stock springs are just way too tall. I can practically fist the gap between tire and wheel well. And really needs window tinting. Even a light shade, but high UV and IR blocking. I have this on my other cars and frankly I don't know what kind of primitive savage I was to not tint my windows in the past. Oh, that's right, the kind of savage with little money. Anyway, the 9 years and 10 months of sitting around are finally no more.

I didn't do it today, but over the course of a few weeks, getting ready for spring/summer, I have:
Changed timing belt, timing belt tensioner arm. Installed new clutch, the original clutch was starting to get a little weak after 196,000 miles. Replaced front main seal, rear main seal, those dumb cam cap seals, both axle seals. Replaced slave cylinder Replaced original thermostat + rubber seal with a genuine Motorcraft 82C thermostat. The car is now completely leak free (for now) and is enjoying some daily driving duties while the Mazdaspeed6 sits. oh, and I waxed it. https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2832/3...61534fa7_b.jpg
