SPEC Clutches & Flywheels....

We are proud to announce the addition of SPEC Clutches and Flywheels to our inventory. I will have these clutches added in the next hour or so. I will update this thread when that is complete!

Nice...

I could use just the Sprung Stg 3 friction disk... Pn SZD153.

I got the act stg 3 un-sprung kit. Spec says their disk will work with the act components so I will just get a new disk. I don't want to use un-sprung because I hear they wear quickly.

Im lookin for a clutch/flywheel combo, but no SPEC on your site. Could you tell me what price on a Spec stage 3 w/ flywheel plus shipping?

thanks,
Luke

The Spec Stage 3 Clutch runs $339 Retail, but if you get in on now, I'm running my first 5 clutches at a discount. Which would save you $50. It would be $289 Shipped for the clutch and about $399 Shipped for the flywheel.

I'm still working on getting the clutches up and will do that as soon as I get some free time.

I lied the Flywheel will only be $379 Shipped.

Oh and remember when I say shipped that's only for the lower 48 states.

Do you know how much the SPEC flywheel weighs?

Also no clutch/flywheel combo discount

As far as I know it is a 9lbs flywheel, but I will double check with Spec tomorrow. As far as combo discounts go I will have some available after these first 5 clutches are gone.

I've updated the 2nd Gen PGT and MX6 parts with the SPEC clutches I'm still working on the 1st gen's, but I will also get approval to post this in the BB forum.

Not to be a dick, and I know you are discounting the first 5, but why go through you, when I can go through Spec themselves for the same price?

No offense taken. The price actually won't be the same, because shipping to the lower 48 States is included in our listed price.

In anycase, if you want to purchase directly through SPEC, that is okay too. I'm not telling you where to buy your stuff, only giving another option, along with a wide variety of products. More variety than any other AV of aftermaket parts for the Ford Probe & MX6, that I can think of. Not to mention some of the lowest prices around.

In short, I support this community as best I can, so the least you could do is help me support you.

I had a feeling shipping would be included, the way you stated it, but just wanted to make sure. I definetly support those that support the community. So once I am moved in to my new place, settled down, a new clutch and flywheel will be ordered.

not wanting to hurt shadows sells, but i will be trueful, i have had a spec stage 2 with a fidanza in the tibby for about 2 years, first long trip (rockford to chicago) after about an hour non stop driving, the clutch wouldnt grip at all, i seriousely had to pull over, and let it cool so i could drive. the co. i bought it from basically told me im screwed and to enjoy my shitty clutch. however the trans went last week, i pulled the trans, and the clutch looks brand new. the pressure plate had a bit of warped fins. i got ahold of spec directly, told them my problem, and they were very helpful, im going to be sending my pressure plate in, and getting a brand new upgraded one for 59 bux. not to shabby i think. all i can say david norton at spec is a nice guy that has helped me out alot. now hopefully the slipping issue will stop.
as clutch's for probes go, ill stick with the DXD

because its a pro-probe company, why not help out a company that helps us out? if it came down to buying form spec or from these guys and the price was the same, the choice would be obvious.

And as I stated in a previous post I would go with the pro-probe company as well. I just had to be "that guy" and state what others might be thinking. I am pretty sure 98% of the board would support pro-probe companies. I know I would, I just wanted to verify the data, thats all.

Spec flywheels are made by Fidanza. I am 100% sure of this (My old Fidanza Rep told me himself). So becareful not to pay too much for the same product. This is not an attempt to hurt anyone's sales or start trouble, I am just letting PT members have all of the info they need to not get burned.

If this is true, eddie, then how come none of fidanza's flywheels pass the government (sae) tests and are certified by them? All of spec's flywheels are. This does not make sense that if they were from the same company one would have the sae approval and one wouldn't. Whether they actually are or aren't made by the same company/place i would buy the spec anyway. I like to know for sure that my flywheel has been tested to be safe, and by the sae, not just the company itself.

All of the Fidanza flywheels have an SFI # etched right into them.
