  • Mfactory Feeler thread

    so a few days ago i contacted Mfactory and asked if they would be wiling to expand there mazda/ford Htype products from just an LSD to transmissions and differential parts.
    Feed back from the company was positive, but they need more than just a kid going "i want this" to convince them it would be worthwhile.
    so what i guess im trying to say is who would be interested in buying different gear ratios and upgraded gears for our cars from Mfactory?

    94 PSE- my absolute piece of shit, no mods, no exhaust from the downpipe back.

    Everyone is interested, but since they have none available we have no clue with the prices are before the bulk discount. If it's considerably less then PAR then i'm in. I just want 3rd gear straight cut and a LSD.

      Stacey told me to put this here but in all honesty this thread doesn't actually have a place to go.
      Mfactory doesent make parts for us.
      This thread is to see how many would buy these upgraded parts and gear ratios so I can show them the number of people interested so they will make them, I didn't arrange this for a discount.
      But I could talk to them and see if they would do a discount once they are made.

          I am sure there are a lot that are INTERESTED....however when it came time to put down money most of the interested folk would back out.

            True, but what I'm looking for is the guys who are willing to put it down to say they would and poof, we have more parts available.
            And how much would it cost to get a rebuild on a transmission?
            And add a few hundred more and it's now a performance rebuild.

              So are you looking at the 1g GT H tranny, or the 2g GT V6 G tranny.

                he posted h type...you even quoted him posting it I would be interested, with either a really tall 1st gear or like a 3.55 or so final...haha...seriously, though, 1st gear should be just short of what the current 2nd gear is in these cars, but 2nd gear is slightly too tall to pretend it's first, even though I do it often, the car lets me know about it...but yeah interested...

                  mfactory already made a g and h type differential and i think a 3rd gear for h type, but the g type is the one that really need this. except taller gear, the 1st gen geat is strong for the power im making

                      Really??? I went looking forever on there site. Couldn't find a damn thing for our cars, or do you mean the Honda G&H type stuff, cause I didn't know that stuff fit.

                          id be willing to buy mfactorys stuff one i get down to that part of my build... id like to see a full gear set as well as individual gears.... we need a better 5th gear at least ! mabey they should make some CV axles as well ?

                            I looked at a 1gen GT H tranny and i couldnt swap the 5th gearset on to a NA 1gen G which means it wont fit the 2nd gen G as well... The H tranny has huge gears compared to the G. and a larger nut holding the 5th gear on the shaft.

                            My simple question of making this thread less vague wasnt definately answered by the original poster...

                            1st gen GT is what you are after here correct?

                              Sorry you are correct, for some odd reason I thought the GT had the H Type and not the G type.
                              But I believe my message was about the probe, tranny (when I inquired mfactory) so either way it would work.
                              So to refraise my original statement, the gears will be made for the probe.
                              But to double check I'll look back on my sent messages to mfactory and see if I did.
                              But so far this thread is asking about the probe and sister cars transmissions.
