I was planning a repeat of last years drive to Lake Elsinore but in reverse to finish at the ocean. Unless anyone wants to suggest an alternate route.

I know there's traffic on Ortega Highway but it wasn't that bad last year and it is supposed to be a cruise not an autocross meet. (right, damon?! )

i have the pre-lim route mapped. Changes can be made accordingly. This route will takes through some really great scenary and new twisty roads. The pace is medium. I'll send it to Damon tonight. =)

todd, the mx6 people are planning on this being on the 10th. since the poll has always has the 10th in the lead, we should go ahead and announce this as the date. they're gearing up to finally give us a run in terms of number of cars.

Just visited mx6.com for the 1st time in a while to find that they are already planning on joining this meet and have quite a bit of interest.

Since the official date is set for Saturday, July 10, 2004, I would like to get a show of hands for those attending as well as volunteers for bringing bbq-type items:

The route has been provided to Damon. Please note that you need to arrange for parking at the lake. last year we used the shaded boat launch area. I forgot to stop by there and get info. I can try this weekend unless someone lives closer and wants to volunteer...

Cost per car load is $10
Or you can probably park across the street and walk over or ride in with someone else. Either way, some folks are going to fork over a couple 10 spots.

I'll call the boat launch and campground to see if we would need reservations or if we can just show up and bbq for the day.

Keep in mind there is a sight right next to the one we used last year with facilities. We used this on the miata run where we need space for 160 cars. price was $5. Drawback: no trees. bring your own shade. =P
