I think my muffler is clogged, exhaust keeps separating and blowing out gaskets. When it separates it has more power. Cat is fine, hi-flow and looks like new edit: through the cat. I don't have enough to get the tru-bendz cat back atm. Anyone had a clogged muffler before?

I know it seems odd, but..... Take a flashlight and take a look in the tailpipe. Back in the high school days I have known of people not so fond of others either slamming a potato or tennis balls into tailpipes. Figured I would throw it out there. Something to check for.
As far as mufflers depending if you are looking for somebody asking the lines of stock or something a little more.1995 Probe GT - N2O Ingested, CM 3, fidanza, headers, exhaust, CAI, MS, kenwood sound

Ha ha ha, nah no haters out there I'm aware of and I've had my breaker bar in as far as it could go, seeing if anything was in the way or would break loose. I figure it's just one of those cheap replacement types that shrink or one of those tubes with holes in it rusted and folded over in there.Probe out for Harambe

Possible if it's an old muffler. Replacements aren't too expensive, I have had luck with magnaflow from eBay, or around here I went to I believe a top value muffler shop once I was not happy with. Can verify if you agree going to swap the muffler anyways cut the pipe just before the muffler and remove it and see if the other section you had previous problems with tries to separate again.

what you really trying to say is that it's a probe and he might have a banana in the tail pipe lol

okay so after replacing from the cat back with off the shelf exhaust parts it turns out the exhaust wasn't the problem. It was time anyway as the mid pipe fell and folded over all the way back as far as the muffler. The other problem was how much I spent.
This was total diy, and still cost me around $250-280, still needs more fine tuning, a.k.a. a resonator, maybe even a larger muffler. Magnaflow performance 2.5" muffler was $90, 7.5' of 2.5" O.D. steel tube $27. The rest was a bunch of clamps, hangers, 2 45* bends to get over the axle, gas and lunches for a friend, with time and a pickup. It was a pain and no potatoes or bananas were found. The sound is transformed, louder, bassier,/boomy also droney. I will make some changes, get things finalized and make a new video or 2 for that.
As to the power problem, it's got to be a distributor problem, so on to the next threadProbe out for Harambe

Strangely enough the power is coming back the more I drive it? It still needs something though. One more tip, if you do your own muffler put a tip on it. I didn't and noticed my bumper started melting.Probe out for Harambe
