Josh Joy I used to chat with a lot, he was gonna join the military or something. I heard something a few years ago about some place he was staying at catching fire? He seems to be ok now, doesn't post on fb much.

I was friends with Josh Love on FB but he unfriended me after about a year, looks like he's got a nice family though

Someone asked me at a meet the other week what I plan on doing with my car, and for the first time I was just like, probably just the exhaust for now. I've kinda lost the mood for modifying cars. Maybe it's the warranty scare or maybe it's just the wanting to focus my time on other things.


Then again I do miss crazy loud exhausts.... Mostly because the guy in the cubicle space next to me drives a 2007 STi and it sounds so good when he leaves work for the day.

That's normal, I think. It's an expensive hobby with no real end-game unless you're driving competitively every few weeks. Eventually it's kind of like...what's the point?

Having a project car like Crusty is one thing, because that you can just tool around with in your spare time when you're in the mood, but to modify a daily driver beyond maybe intake/exhaust is meh..

It's been at least a few years now but I believe his brother died(possibly motorcycle accident?). I don't really talk to him much and didn't want to ask at that time.

Get you another probe(GT though) with a test pipe and half worn flowmaster. That will cure you're desire for loud exhaust.

No thanks. I don't think I could get another PGT. Those interiors fall apart way too easily. I still have my 04 wrx for now and it's plenty loud, just doesn't move very fast.

Yeah for a DD I understand that. I guess I just need the space for a project car, or second car... but I think by the time I get there it might need to be a truck for hauling stuff. I like modifying stuff but I do loathe most of the "kids" I meet now at car club/meets. Like seriously there was a group of us standing around and someone asks "where is the turbo at on these things" as they just bought a used 2015 STi. 3 of them look in the location where they are on the 2002-2007 models, and these are kids that have 2015+ models. I just shook my head. They are equal length fools!

Yes for sure! I wish I had learned that lesson much earlier! Daily drivers are now limited to intake an exhaust IF that.

Spend the money on a project car you can tinker with and don’t care if it sits. It’s there when you want it but not when you do not have time.

Yeah I can't see how this place still has the funds to operate. cars been non existent for 20 years, all the vendors are gone, not as many people visit this board.

I use google hangouts exclusively now, for work, and home.
