This is a sticky topic.

this kinda power outta a f2t is no surprise.... or secret.
Just look at what turbo ford 2.3s do with that same turbo and 350cc.
Running rich is robbing you ..... can only get better tho.
civics make 300+ with exactly the same turbo
spray a 50shot on any 16G or t3 equipped f2t, and you'll fly
I would think the stock pistons and rods are good for 300+whp, no ?
some Toyota 3TC turbo guys run cheap mazda b2000 oe pistons in their motors, and boost the sh1t outta them.

what is the final drive in the first-gen tranny?
It shows with stock tires a .711 5th gear, and final ratio of 4.105.Black 99 F150 Lightning with a 2.3L Kenne Bell and extras 465whp/ 593ft/lbs 12.786@104.495

very nice numbers, my car used to make 271 whp at 17 psi on pump gas, before it run too lean on the dyno and damage the head, instead of spending more money in another head i am doing the conversion to a f2t head and a bigger turbo1989 White Probe Turbo
F2T in process to 4 valves and 30+psi boost... arias forged pistons.

Hello guys!!
It seems that it isn't that damn hard to make your f2t produce about 250-300hp!? or is it?
Is forged pistons a must when you have about 250-300hp?
What a about the transmission? clutch? does it need alot of modifying?

You probably don't have to have forged pistons to make the power, but it will allow you to run it more safely without blowing the motor. The transmission holds, but with anything with more power you'll probably break it once in a while. Definately have to have a stronger clutch than the factory one. The factory one barely holds with only 200hp or so.
