This seems to only happen in IE8.
Me and or Jackie will login, once we attempt to post or reply we are automatically logged out before we can post.

When I use Chrome, I don't seem to have this problem.

Does IE8 clear cookies after every page has loaded or something? Sounds weird. I personally use FF3 and Chrome.

The only problems I have with logging in is from http://probetalk.com 'is not able to accept POST from this domain, admin must add it to the whitelist blahdy blah'.

Damon have you tried adding the domain to the whitelist using .probetalk.com in Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings -> Post Referrer Whitelist?

I was actually saying that maybe IE is clearing the login cookie each time he opens a new page, which would mean it would not keep the name information to stay logged in.

However clearing cookies is pretty much the main thing to do before asking an internet question, hopefully he's done that.

why do you people always ask me this?

the settings have ALWAYS had both the domain and subdomain listed in the post referrer whitelist. been that way since we started using the subdomain.

this is a browser cookie issue. check your cookie settings, clear you browser cache, including all your old cookies, then close your browser. reopen it and navigate to pt.

transeau has even stated how this is a cookie issue. why do you all insist it's something that WE have to do?

Because vBulletin itself states that's what you need to do. Clear as many cookies as you want, you still can't login from http://probetalk.com.

Just making sure you guys did the .probetalk.com instead of just probetalk.com to the whitelist.

zac, please search this forum for the thread. transeau even went so far as to force early cookie timeouts.

trust me, it's not PT, it's your browsers.

IE8 has that private mode where it doesn't store anything- are you surfing in that... that could be the cause
