Oh just in case it does go to archive, I'll also post this link that goes to a site selling remote oil thermostats

    http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/filtmt.htm

If you go to the next page via this link - http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/mocal.htm it takes you to a page where it lists a different type of thermostat, and at the bottom of that page are sandwich adapters with built in thermostats, ours would be the 20mm one of course. (SP1FT)

        My setup goes as follows...

        Permacool sandwich adapter
STP equivelent of the ZR-1 oil filter (2.99 instead of 5.99 for the bosch 3401)
        Permacool 101 oil filter

works great, for over a year or so now, and is awesome for the track. one flip of the cooling fans, and after a couple minutes, the oil is cool as the other side of the pillow

and if anyone is wondering. if i send this thread to the archives now, NO ONE is allowed to post in it, so this way, by keeping it open, we can reply. and it's not quite sticky worthy, but definitey good info for the archive once it becomes inactive
