Just thought I'd let everyone know that today I got a letter from our NNJ homeskillet Matt Castro. He's in his 2nd week of Basic Training in Kentucky and his back has been acting up a bit, so it's gotten him down somewhat. It seems to be more of an issue to be expected.

I'd like to see some of us who know Matt to write him in Basic Training. For those that have never gone through it, it's a place where the most simple letter means the most. I know I'll write Matt quite a bit and I ask that you all do as well. I have his address if anyone wants to PM me asking for it, but I won't post it.

Also. If anybody else has any message they'd like to get to Matt, post it here, because in a few days I'm sending Matt some paper copies of some threads here on PT, including this one, so you have anything to say, go right ahead.

Let's be there for our homey like he has been there for us.

I don't know you Matt, but you're only in "red" phase (if they even still do phases in BT. It sucks now but time will start to go by a lot faster once you start BRM. Keep your head up, it only get's better and you're doing a great thing for your country....

              Given any thought to Airborne???

NNJ really isn't the same without you, Matt.

It's good to know that they started your training on time though and that you'll be back in time for Myrtle.

I hope you can send this to Matt, Mario.

I went through BT about 7 yrs ago and I'm sure its no different. As anyone that has been through BT can tell you, all you have to do is stay focused on the tasks before you. If you realize that everything is done for a reason and not to just screw with you then BT will seem easier. Staying focused is the hardest thing. I had to foget about somethings in my life durring the two months of BT. I focused all my engry on getting done with it. Everytime I felt that something was too hard or if I didnt think that I could do something I would remind myself that millions of men and women had gone through what I was going through and they made it. I believe that you can make it through this. Just stay focused and believe in yourself. Best of luck! This is something that you will never, ever forget and your life will seem somehow different.
